Golden De-Shedding w/ the Shed Monster + Giveaway

I am a Golden dog and have 2 coats that protect me all season.
In Winter, my undercoat grows to protect me from the cold weather.
During warm months, my undercoat sheds because I no longer need it.

I know many pet owners do not enjoy shedding season but it is part of pet ownership. That is why regular brushing is important and having a good brush and/or comb is a must. Also, using an undercoat rake/ de-shedding tool helps reduce shedding.

We use a prominent brand undercoat rake/de-shedding tool. It works but with the little sharp pointy teeth there are times it hurts. I make a Golden Lion Face for my mom to stop the de-shedding.
So I am Golden delight and thrilled to try a new de-shedding tool, Shed Monster. The Shed Monster is a product from As Seen On TV known for there infomercial products that work and are reasonably priced.
On the package it says …
Reduces Shedding up to 90%
Smooth Edges Protect Skin! Wont Irritate the Skin
The design is a smaller, lighter and not as wide compared to the one we currently own. The handle has a yellow rubber grip. Most importantly the stainless steel blunt teeth are curved. My mom ran her fingers all over it and never got hurt. It sure made her wonder with the curved blunt teeth, how the Shed Monster would work?

Yes, the Shed Monster did a wonderful job. It got my undercoat without hurting me. In minutes lots of Golden Fur accumulated both on the ground and in the tool. It was very easy to remove the fur in the tool.
Do I look different?
Getting brushed/de-shed actually felt good. I feel lighter.
It means that I can I have some tasty treats …

I Love the Shed Monster that we’ve been taking it to our weekend shows. I love when i get groomed around my ear.
Lots of Golden Thanks to Shed Monster

All in all, the Shed Monster is a great de-shedding tool especially for a long double coated Golden Retriever dog like me .
Absolutely, LOVE the curved blunt teeth.
It provided a smooth deep contact against my skin/coat
and most importantly it does not hurt.
I give the Shed Monster 4 Golden Paws Up.

    Hey there Sugar,
What an interesting looking alternative to our own 'rake' – a simple black plastic one. Yours looks like it did the job superbly and yes, we did notice a shinier Sugar :)
I wonder if one can get the Shed Monster 4 in South Africa? I will certainly look out for it.

Know what you mean about shedding… shedding… shedding… The boys go to the "day spa" every few weeks, so I thankfully don't have too much to do in between. I like the idea of rounder teeth, though, but must admit being a bit surprised you got as much fluff as you did with it!

  4. Finn says:

You do look really happy when they are grooming around your ears! Enjoy it!

  5. Tucker, Daisy and Leo says:
