Lindy & Company Gourmet Pet Treats by Homeless Youth

May 19, 2015

Last February at Global Pet Expo, I was introduced to an amazing gourmet pet treats – Lindy & Company.

LIndy & Company Pet Treats by Homeless Youth

Homemade by homeless youth, Lindy & Company treats are “Saving Kids, One Treat at a Time”

Daybreak and Lindy & Company

“Lindy & Company is Daybreak‘s gourmet pet treat bakery and in-house work-readiness program. It’s a pet treat bakery…and more.”

Lindy & Company Dog Treats

What’s so amazing about Lindy & Company? Lindy’s pet treats are gourmet and made by homeless youth. Lindy & Company was created by Daybreak in 2012, a non-profit organization in Ohio that provides an emergency shelter for runaway and homeless youth. Daybreak started Lindy & Company to provide pet parents homemade, healthy, delicious, gourmet treats and made by homeless youth. For these homeless youth, working at Lindy will provide them a great opportunity to develop skills that they need in order to get and keep good jobs.

Linda Kramer, CEO of Daybreak, is proud of this unique program. What makes Lindy & Company business stand out? “Being able to employ the youth who stay at Daybreak means more than just giving them a job,” Kramer said. “It’s about giving them hope, reigniting their dreams, and providing them with tools that they can use so that they never have to be homeless again.”

Lindy Golden Retriever Lindy & Company

Who is Lindy?

Lindy is a golden retriever, and her pet parents were a big part of Daybreak’s startup. They were very kind and provided the capital to Daybreak. Lindy is their special “donor” angel and Daybreak named the company after her. Lindy is also featured on the packaging of all the treat bags. We heard that Lindy’s favorite treat is Apples & Cheese, Please!

Dog Treats Lindy & Company

Lindy & Company Gourmet Pet Treats

Lindy & Company dog and cat gourmet treats are handmade by homeless youth using natural ingredients and natural preservatives. Lindy’s Treats are Made in the U.S.A. (Dayton, Ohio). In every bag, a handwritten note from a Daybreak youth. So Sweet!

Hello all, Wow…This is Linda, CEO of Daybreak-Lindys. I can’t thank you enough for your wonderful review of our Lindy treats and for all of the kind words of support expressed by your friends and followers. Our kids are working hard, mastering great job skills, and are well on their way to wnding their homelessness and are moving on to self sufficiency. And they just love reading your posts. After all, they’re just like our own kids…In essence, we’ve become their “parents” so clearly we don’t know anything….But When you all chime in…you literally rock their world. Sincerest thanks to all of you.
