As you all know dog years differ from human years.
I am considered 52 years old in human years. WOW!
But wait a minute, 52 is not considered a senior in human years.
Am I right about that? Oh! Well, I guess I consider myself as
“Becoming a Senior Dog.”
I know many of you commented on my lovely white(ty) face.
YES! Lots of changes occurred with my body and movements.
But one thing has not change …
My Spirit of being a Sweet Softhearted Sugar the Golden Retriever.
I will definitely share more information on how my family is
taking extra great care of me as a Senior Dog.
I’m sure liking it.
Lots of Golden Woofs,
Our dog Little Bit (80+ pounds) turned 7 last October. She went for her annual physical yesterday and everything was fine, but she needs her teeth cleaned. So, on February 2 she gets that done. I so understand about taking extra care of our babies. It's because your humans love you so much.
I just love you to pieces Sugar. Just so you know. 🙂
I just love your face. Everytime i come here… your smile delights me endlessly. You are the sweetest goldie i have ever seen. I am sure your family love you to bits.
My mom is almost as old as woo – that explains her beaWOOtiful hair kholour!
Woo are soooo lovely and furry wise too!
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
You might be a senior but you are still young at heart! 🙂
I am 5 and mom said she can see my face getting whiter. I am just about the same age as mom and she is turning white too.

Pawsonally, I think age is a mental thingy. If you THINK young you ARE young. I also think you are a beautiful lady. I'm just sayin'.
I'm 10 so that makes me 70 and I'm starting to feel a bit senior, but you're only as young as you feel!
Sugar, I think your white face makes you look extra-sweet.
Maybe it means you're just getting ready to graduate!!
We like the more mature dog Sugar. Our mum loves your white face cos you remind her of Harry – even though he was a basset!
love and kisses

Eight's the new five. You look five to me!

Sugar , your face is what we call a sugar face or that you have angel wings. Our Dad is 63 so he is almost ancient.
We are not quite as old as you but we are getting their.
Hamish is 7, Sophie is 6 ,but we both have white faces already and our Mom & Dad and just about everybody else just loves it.

You are so beautiful and sweet!

I used to have a chocolate lab that was with me until he was 13. He had so much gray it wasn't even funny. Even though his looks and actions had changed he still had a heart of gold. Just like you Sugar.
*woof*
We love you, sweet Sugar :o)
Some of us grey earlier than others, I guess! But don't let a number bog you down, it's how we feel in our hearts that really tells our age. You look 8 years young, I'd say!!

I'm turning 1 in a couple of weeks. Pops says that's when I'll go from "puppy" to a full-fledged "dog". I can't wait!
Senior dog sounds pretty awesome too!
Sonic
Sugar, you're just a sweetie dog, senior, junior, becoming senior…whatever stage you're at!
We love your face, Sugar – it is just filled with your sweetness. Phantom is 11 – he must be really old.
Woos, Thunder Dunder
Sugar, you have such the sweetest face! I'm a Senior Dog too cause I turned 9 last month.
Sadie
And you will get to enjoy it for many years to come!
Hi, Sugar!
I agree with our friends.

Hi Sugar
You know the humans have a saying " That you are only as old as you feel." and we hope you feel young.
Oh sweetness!!! You're just SUGAR to us pal!! Sweet Sugar! We all get those white whiskers……at some point….mom seems to have some 🙂
Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,
Sierra Rose
Hi Sugar, I'm 8 too! Well I don't think we feel that old, do we? 😉
hey Sugar,
Eight is great! And being eight is nothing, you have so many amazing years ahead of you. It only gets better! Age is a state of heart and mind. I am glad, though, that you are enjoying your special senior treatment that your humans give you. Pampering is well deserved!
Suka

snowie
Sugar, I'd be super happy if I looked like you when I am 8.
Hi Sugar, I say you are only as old as you feel! 😉 You are looking like you still have lots of energy and livliness to me. 🙂
Kisses,
Nala
I've always thought that 8 was too young for the vets to start considering a dog to be a 'senior'. But, if it means extra love and care (but can you possibly get more than you already do?) then it's a good thing.
You are so sweet, Sugar.
We don't care how old you are Sugar. We love you just the same!
Woofs and Kisses!
We absolutely MUST be friends, Sugar, because we're both Seniors! We Seniors have to stick together!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Well, I gotta tell you – you're still a babe! Seriously. And hey. I'm not old and I'm 10. I'm the youngest of our pack!
I'd definitely flirt with you in real life. Ha roo roo roo!
Play bows,
Zim
Hey Sugarbabe! (That is what Luke on the Real McCoys used to call his wife!!) You can probably guess from that remark in parenthesis that our momma is also approaching the senior years! Hey, you know what? They call them "the Golden Years"!! That's just right for you!
Smooches,
BabyRD and Hootie
You don't look like a senior dog to us. You look young and full of energy…
Hey you know Seniors get Senior discounts at Denny's and IHOP and …..
Big Sloppy Kisses
Gus, Louie and Callie
What a truly beautiful face you have!
Hi Sugar,
I love your bootiful face! You are a very sweet dog and have plenty more adventures ahead of you!
Sniffs and licks,

Ohhhhhhhh sweety….
you're soooooooo beautiful and we love your white face!!!
And your eyes are sooooo sweet…and your smile sooooooo happy!!!!!
We think we're young until we feel young inside!!!
And sure you'll have tons of wonderful things to share with us in the next 40 years!!!!!
;-))))))
WE LOVE YOUUUUUUUU!!!
Tons of love and kisses
You look good in white! 🙂
Sola went white on her snooter at three or so, no worries, you look distinguished…
Not a senior yet! You are a young whippersnapper 🙂 And a very cute one, at that!
Sugar take it from an older lady of 12. Make sure when you go out for a drive you sit in the back seat of the car. Not in the hatch bit. Then you can make sure you are a passenger and make sure your driver wears a hat……to your status..and if your lucky when you get out of the car they might lift you …
x x x with love and lots of hugs from Amie Soto Blossom x x x
8 huh? You are still just a young whipper snapper girlie! My 11th barkday is coming up this year. You know what I find? Mom and Dad love me just as much now as they did when I was a pup. I'm sure your family does too.
Snuggles,
Twix
I love your face Sugar… I would not change a thing.
Hope you and your family have a great weekend…
Licks from me!
Olive 🙂
My little big sister, TaiChi, is 18 years old!!! (She's a miniature poodle, but still, 18 is like, 500 humans years old!) I'm sure your family will take great care of you as you enter your 'golden' years! 😉 (Yes, that was a bad pun!) I know it takes Mom some extra time each day to make sure TaiChi has all the meds and stuff that she needs, but as Senior Doggie, she gets all sorts of extra treats and things. So I'm thinking that getting older can't be too bad!

You're so right! All that matters is how you feel on the inside. My older sissy's 10. She plays like a pup, acts like one too.
Thanks for your comment. I've had many issues with my links and sometimes I have to wait for a comment so I can find my furiends again. Once I find you all, from now on, you can't escape me 😉
Twink!
I am 8 too Sugar! I am NOT a senior though, sometimes momma calls me señor Moose but that is totally different ;-)! Momma loves senior doggies and in fact the minute they get the white face she just falls in love! I actually have less white than some other doggies my age but she loves me anyway!
