Tasty Thursday: Cheesy Minty Dog Biscuits

July 22, 2010

My wish for a Tasty Treat came true. It’s been so HOT and not ideal weather for long walks. I’ve been staying indoors most of the day. Mom decided to treat me for a Tasty Treat.

Cheesy Minty Dog Biscuits

Ingredients:
2 cups of whole wheat flour
1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
2 tbsp dried mint flakes
1 1/3 cups of water
1/4 cup of oil
1 egg (optional)
Combine dry ingredients. Stir in water, oil, and egg. Adjust the liquid as necessary to make stiff dough. Roll on floured cutting board to ~3/8 thick. cut with bone shaped cutter. Place on un-greased cookie sheet. Bake it for ~1-1 1/2 hours in 350 degrees oven until thoroughly dry.

I waited for a long time for these delicious Cheesy Minty Dog Biscuits. DELISH! and my breath is sure refreshing.Mmmm my mom is becoming a Chef for Doggies. She’s thinking to package some of my favorite treats with honest to goodness ingredients on it. Very special in a way cause I have lots of allergies and mom believes on using natural ingredients. What do you think?

Lots of Golden Woofs,

That sounds like a great idea for your mom to start packaging yummy dog treats.
I don't know if Duke would like these, he's never been a fan of dog biscuits, he only plays with them but never eats them. He like's chewy ones instead.

P.S. to answer your moms question about that blur too, I tried it a few times but could never really figure it out so I never use it. I'm not much help
