Blogversary Trip to New Buffalo

October 11, 2010

What’s great about living in the Midwest
is the accessibility of visiting neighboring States.

For my 2nd blogversary present, I was able to tag-along with my human family and friends for a mini-weekend trip to Michigan.
We stayed in a town called New Buffalo.

I did not see any Buffalo but there’s a
dog trying to drink some water from the birdbath.
There’s this restaurant, The Stray Dog, that has a doggie logo.
The place does not allow dogs to dine with their human companions.
So I decide to go to the beach.
I’m not allowed to go swimming due to my allergies.
I just walked along the shore.
I was on cloud nine …
I had to rinse off very well and had a delish meal.
It was a mucho enjoyable mini-weekend vacation.
Many Golden Thanks to my extended human family.
Lots of Golden Woofs,
We will try our very best to catch-up on reading everyone’s blog this week.

You are lucky to have family that pay attention to your milestones. Mom missed our first blogaversary (it was 9/20) AND our 100th post 9/27. I guess I'm lucky she doesn't miss my birthday and Christmas!

Sounds grreat Sugar! Beaches are so fun, but why does the Stray Dog have a dog logo, named with a dog name but not allow dogs??

You have such wonderful humans. They love you Sugar. 🙂

    Cuddles and licks,

That's not very nice of that restaurant to call themselves the Stray Dog and then not allow dogs to eat there. It looks like you enjoyed the beach though. What a great mini vacation you had. How pawsome that you even got to drive. 🙂

What a great way to celebrate your bloggieanniversary 🙂 or blogversary.. hehhehehe…

why is that eating place called The Stray Dog Bar and Grill if they dun allow animals to dine with hoomans… they shouldn't use a picture of a dog too. They are a misleading eating place.

glad you have a great holiday with your family Sugar!

Too bad The Stray Dog doesn't allow dogs, maybe they at least need to think about adding outside dining where pups can be included.

Great visit – loved seeing you walk along the beach.

What an awesome trip you gots to go on.
Course, I think it was hihly inappropriate to use a doggie as da restuarant logo and then NOT to let da famous Sugar in….dat is false advertising.
You look so happy at da beach.

Hi Sugar! First, we have to say Happy Belated Blogoversary (we don't usually go on the computer on the weekend so we missed it – boo to mom!) And so now we can get to the post today – and it looks so fun! We have heard of New Buffalo but we had no idea they didn't have any buffalo there – weird. But it still looks like you had a good time (but seriously, what kind of restaurant has a dog mascot but doesn't let dogs eat there?)
