Imagine life without electricity.
Well, we endured having no electricity for 4 1/2 days this week.
Monday morning storms hit my neighborhood like a tornado.
Lots of mature tress uprooted. Two trees fell on my neighbor’s roof and
caused major damages on our power line.
Electricity is one of modern life’s necessities and conveniences. We have become so dependent on it since everything we do requires electricity.
3rd day of the power outage, mom was a bit irritated
and did not take me for my morning/afternoon walk.
I was not really sure what was going on … I’m a bit upset but luckily the weather was cool. I stayed mostly on my bed and listened to the birds chirping out in my backyard.
Top 5 Things I did during our 4 1/2 days of power outage …
5. Ate all the Pawlicous Pupsicle in the freezer before it melted. Golden DELISH Delight!
4. Played the game “In The Dark Retrieving … it was a bit tricky but I surely Golden Enjoy it.
3. Made lots of Golden Goofy Faces as my mom kept her self entertained and took photos of me.
2. Golden LOVE all the extra stroking, caressing and belly rubs I received
1. What I do the best … Slept a LOT
Definitely having electricity is something we should be thankful for.
It is difficult to imagine life without electricity.
Lots of Golden Woofs,

We don't know what we would do without electricity!! Good thing those trees didn't land on your house!!

Hey Sugar!
Wow, I'm so glad the trees didn't hit your territory! I bet you go lots of extra attention since there was no tv, puter, etc. Good thing it was not so hot outside. Love that pix of your snout!
Grr and Woof,
Sarge, COP

I'm glad the power is back on! We always keep paws crossed that doesn't happen here – we had a couple of 116-118 degree days where even the early mornings were starting out at above 90!
Sam
We lose our power quite frequently out here in dirtville, for no apparent reason. No AC, in the desert, is quite uncomfortable. We always keep a lot of water on hand.
I hope the storms are in the past and you can get back to enjoy a golden summer!
Happy, Waggin' Tails, FUREVER!
Stumpy and me
Poor Sugar, at least you got all the pupsicles. We have lived without electric when we lived in Florida and had hurricanes, it's no fun and makes the humans cranky. Mom says that's when she is glad she has camping skills from when she was growing up.
Tucker and Daisy
Sugar,
So happy dat your power is back on and dat all is well at your house. Da last time we lost power like dat wuz during da east coast blackout. 🙁
Woofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae
I just HATE being without the electicals. So I can really relate to your struggles. We have a generator so our Cold and Frozen boxes are always OK… butt we wouldn't have the use of my Snow Locker.
I am very much glad that it was COOLER fur you.. and that you now have your electricals BACK.
Those sounded like some real tough days! Glad everything is getting back to normal!
Sugar, it sounds like you took advantage of the time with the electric on and I'm glad it's now back on!! It's bad when it goes out especially for extended periods of time!! Lots of love, Debbie & Holly
Yah Sugar, we didnt have it either fur 3 days. Not a whole lot you can do bout it. I did lots of sleeping too and mom and I camped out one night on the front porch cuz it was just TOO hot inside. She was getting a bit irritated too and I know how you feel. We had trees uprooted and wires down and transformers down. You never really appreciate it until you dont have it huh? Glad that you are back and sure hope that doesnt happen again. It was a quick storm but powerful

Sugar,
We were lucky we did not loose power, but we know when we do if it is just for a few hours it is a major inconvenience.
Not having power for over 4 days, we just cannot imagine.
Glad you have it back because this coming week is to be a scorcher.
Stay Cool.
Hamish & Sophie
Right about now, that would be a nightmare for us – it is just too hot not to have a way to cool down. But you are so right, what DID people do before there was electricity AND a/c? So sorry about those bad storms, hope all is OK there now.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
We're glad your electricity is back Sugar! How awful to be without it for so long but the things on your list are good consequences of it. We're glad you stayed cool enough too!
Glad all is back to normal and that Mom was able to keep you nice and cool during the power outages! I bet all those frosty pops tasted really good!!
It's sort of like camping! Fun the first day, less fun the second day and ready to go home on the 3rd day!! Glad you got your power back!!
Wyatt and Stanzie
I sure am glad that it is over for you and your family. Not having electricty is not good. We are too used to having it.
I sure was happy to hear that it was cool. At least something was good as far as the weather.
I think you did GREAT 5 things while the lectricty was out.
woos, Tessa
That's a bummer, no electricity for 4 1/2 days. The upside is you ate all the frozen pupsicle. Thank goodness they are low calorie treats.
Hey Sugar I'm glad you guys are OK. At least it's summer and not dark at 5pm.
So glad you guys have electricity again, but it sounds like you made the best of a bad situation…Happy weekend, precious friend…kisses…Calle, Halle, Sukki
Oh, you have our empathy! We live in the country and lose power frequently. The record so far: 13 days. No fun at all. Glad you got those pupsicles, Sugar!
Ahhgreeeee!!! Life without electricity is no fun :o(
Although we had some fun at night with my Pawrents walking around with the flashlights in the house and Meee and my new Sis, Aida had more reasons to “talk” at strange sounds in the dark. Yep! That was my favorite part :o)
Glad you guys got your power back too!
Love and Smooches,
Neeko ♥
You guys are some tough cookies! Being without electricity for a couple hours is hard enough.. And you, Sugar, deserve a badge of courage for not being afraid of the dark dark dark nights. hehe 🙂
Simba
During Hurricane Isabel, we went for 3 or 4 days with no electricity and thought it was just awful! It was in May and was so hot and humid here…just miserable.
Glad the power is back on now and yummmmmmy about getting to eat those pupsicles!!
Elyse and Riley
Having no electricity for 4.5 hours is tough but 4.5 days is unreal! We're just glad you're safe, Sugar!
Love ya lots
Maggie and Mitch
Maybe we need s short time without electricity every once in awhile.
XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
How terrible, especially for your neighbor! But I'm glad everyone was okay and that you get lots of love in the meantime.
Sorry about the damages caused by the storms! I hope everyone is ok!
No electricity… yes… it is hard to live without it!
Glad you enjoyed those days!

Ohmidog! After about hour two, I think the Mama would lose her DogForsaken mind. we aren't very good without 'legricity.
Wow! What a week you had! I hope things are getting back to normal now. I can't imagine going that long without electricity. Hugs!
Oh my dogness, Sugar – your poor Mom and you – we're very inspired by all the things you did to maintain your sanity – let's hope we can keep our spirits up like you when our power goes out – so much wacky weather! Glad it's cool!
Hugs xoxoxo
Sammie, Avalon and Oz
Thanks for sharing that experience with us. We went once, for a day without electricity due to power failure in the building..needless to say, lots of compromising, work and lesson learned!

Forget the pops melting, *I* would be melting!!!
Glad ya'll survived. 🙂
I think you all need another vacation!! But I loved how you found ways to keep busy, and I'm glad that it wasn't winter and you weren't snowed in–We had that happen here for almost 2 days and it was brutal!
I hope you've had a great weekend!!!
oh my all that time with no electricity. I go crazy when it goes out for just a few hours
I am so glad life is back to normal for you. No more storms!
Your pal, Pip
No interne or air conditioning?? Dawg, how did you ever survive??
AROOOOF!
Boondocks and The Love Shack Pack
Gosh Sugar, we're so sorry you had to go through this awful mess! But, with your usual good humor, you seemed to pull through. The power of the dog!
Hi Sugar,
I'm glad you survived… it's amazing how our humans have become so dependant on the electircal stuff!
Woofs,
Riley
What a scary storm that must've been! We had one like that last month and Mom was absolutely freakin out, she thought we were getting a tornado!
Glad you got your electricity back Sugar, it certainly must be very boring and inconvenient without it.
Waggles & Chi kisses, Chewy & Lilibell
It really is hard to live without it. We are so glad your home was not damaged in the storm and that you got to eat all your freezer treats 🙂
Miss Sugar,
We are glad you all were safe.
It's amazing what we take for granted until we are shown it.
Your Momma did a great job keeping you cool
Hugs,
IzZY, TriXie and Anakin Man
Oh, I hate when the power's out! It's amazing how much I take it for granted until then. Glad you guys made it through okay!
