I’ve been using the Canine Calm since we received it and has been very helpful. I am not fond of loud Boom Boom noises, particularly the sounds of fireworks and thunder. We live very close to a country club, the club has a firework show every 4th of July and has been having fireworks to end weekend parties. In regards to THUNDER … need I say more. The tremendous rain we’ve been having is usually accompanied with lots of loud Boom Boom thunder.
During times like this … I usually go upstairs specifically to one of the bedroom and hide in a corner. My mom describes me as in my “do not disturb position.” Lighting a scented candle such as Lavender helps me out to recover quickly from my anxiety.
Guess What? one of the ingredients in Canine Calm Balm is Lavender Oil. Another reason why we have to try it.
Lumino Pets provided us a complete ingredients description of Canine Calm Balm Ingredients: Certified organic oils of coconut and castor bean, pure beeswax, and certified organic essential oils of clary sage, valerian, sweet marjoram and lavender.
Clary Sage is calming to the nervous system, particularly in cases of depression, stress, insomnia and deep-seated tension.
Valerian has a long history of being used to calm the nerves, assist with pain relief, stimulate the appetite, lower blood pressure, relax spasms and improve digestion. Valerian has a calming effect on the brain of both man and animals
Sweet Marjoram is considered a comforting herb as it calms emotions, and provides comfort during times of grief, loneliness and sadness. Appreciated as a strong relaxing, anti-spasmodic oil, it is strengthens the parasympathetic nervous system.
Lavender is known for its skin healing properties and its use as a sedative. It soothes the nervous system and calms stress. Ancient Romans and Greeks believed the scent of lavender to be soothing to untamed lions and tigers.”
The Canine Calm Balm comes with an applicator and is easy to use. My mom simply applies a small amount on my muzzle and under my nose. Well, of course I tried to taste/licked it. Mom also rubbed some on my bed blankie and to my favorite toy. it smells good!!!
Canine Calm Balm is definitely helpful and handy with my fear of loud noises such as fireworks and thunder. I avoid hiding/going upstairs.
I am learning to stay in my bed when loud noises occur.
Even though I continue to pant, I’m calmer and accepting of the loud/noisy surroundings.

sounds like a really great product Sugar. We'll pass on entering since I'm not very nervous type pup. I'm sure that other dogs could use this more than me.
Mom says she likes the new system you're using for your giveaway though. That's really cool
Sounds interesting. Mom says she would like to try that on Phantom since it isn't something she has to get him to eat. Thanks for the opportunity to be in the drawing.

This calming balm sounds great and I think I’ll give it a try.
One of my pups is rather high strung and often needs help calming down. I’ve been spraying some lavender mist on his fur, toys and bed which makes everything smell fresh and clean. However, product sounds like something a little more effective.
Thanks for introducing it.
