As a Senior Dog I love to just chill …
basically I enjoy resting and taking long naps.
Comfort is very important.
Love the couch(es) (that i am not allowed to lay on).
If the couch is not available I often stay on my comfy bed.
My bed got more comfy …
Silver Tail provided me a mat for Senior Dog. It’s a multi-purpose mat that you can take anywhere. It has a non-skid bottom so it is perfect when my mom places it on the wood floor (next to my bed).
What’s so cool about it?
It has a removable Bamboo Charcoal Insert. Honestly, we are not familiar with this kind of insert which for us makes this an intriguing product.
Why Bamboo Charcoal? According to Silver Tail packaging … “Bamboo Charcoal is made from Moso Bamboo, also known as “Black Diamond”. It has a high mineral content including potassium, calcium, iron & sodium. When fired at temperatures over 800C the structure carbonizes and develops unique properties that deodorize, purify and control humidity. It also reacts with your pet’s body heat producing FAR infrared rays. These rays are known to relieve aches and pains, reduce stress, and speeds recovery. Other benefits may include joint relief and improved circulation, energy and flexibility.”
Interesting! Does anyone know about this?
Well,I received this mat mid October and it took me about 2 weeks to lay on it. WHY? My mom thinks because of the weather. It was hot and when the weather changed I started to lay on it especially after our morning walk. Currently, this mat is permanently on my bed. Mom says that I sleep well (been snoring more often) and have been sleeping a lot on my back. Since I do not have any joint pains or discomfort,
I am not sure if it has helped. My mom does like the idea of the removable bamboo insert. She is thinking to make me a pillow wherein there will be a slot for the insert.
On the packaging it says that the bamboo charcoal insert is washable (by hand) and recharges in the sun. We are just unsure when is the right time to wash the charcoal insert. We wish the packaging has a clearer and more detailed instructions. Also, the waterproof lining material captures … lots, lots, lots, of my fur.
My mom finds using a lint brush the best way to clean it up.
I give Silver Tail 2 out of 4 Golden Paws.
Lots of Golden Woofs

hey Sugar,
You look absolutely adorable in your bed with your crossed paws! <3
My human and I have never heard of bamboo charcoal, but it sounds very interesting. And, definitely something my human would look into purchasing for me if it does all it claims. Thanks for the great product review, Sugar!
Glad to hear you are sleeping, and snoring, better! Although I did not know the girls snored. BOL! Sweet dreams!
Suka
Interesting! One of our dogs has a bit of arthritis and we have been looking into an orthopedic bed. Maybe we will check this out.
Is there a website to get better instructions??
Well…Sugar….we think you always look fabulous! But, you are especially cute here!! Perhaps we should get our mama one of those for her aches and pains….BOL! We are glad that you are snoring more…that means you are sleeping good!! xoxo Chloe and LadyBug
We hope it's very comfortable. Kendra sleeps in such strange places….I'm sure she'd turn her nose up at a dog mat.

We don't know if bamboo charcoal really works, but Sugar gets 4 big paws up for looking comfortable. It's all how it's presented.
Sugar you look so comfy.
It sure looks comfy. Comfort is important.

Interesting mat…never heard of the Bamboo Charcoal either. Wonder if it would help Riley's joints? Oh, what am I saying…she just sleeps on the couch or a human bed if she gets uncomfortable–she's allowed.
It's great to see your Golden face this morning!

Our Little Bit has an orthopedic bed, but she has bad joints from working too hard when she was younger. She's also had a couple of mishaps that haven't helped either.
I love you on your new bed. Your mom takes such great care of you.
Have a woof woof day Sugar. My best to your mom. 🙂
Sugar, that picture of you all cuddled down is the definition of pure comfort. Enjoy.
Jack gets fuzz all over those kinds of things too. They should make some non-fuzz ones!

Interesting! Great review, Sugar!!
hmmm….that is something my mom and I have never heard of!?
Might have been the perfect thing for our former Lab Shadow…she lived to be 16 but her joints were feelin' it pretty good!
Yes yes! We read about it too! Interesting stuff!
It's also very popular in Japan!
Cheers,
Maxx
