I had some papaya before but not from Hawaii. Mom says this is sweeter.
Papaya tree is very common here in Hawaii. Many have a papaya tree on their front and back yard. It is a large tree with a single stem that can grow up to 16 – 33 feet tall. It’s leaves are spirally arranged that is confined mainly on the top of the trunk. The leaves can grow up to 20-28 inches. The papaya fruit is ripe when it feels soft and the skin changed to a yellow orange color.
There are 2 kinds of Papaya
1) The Rainbow Papaya is a bright yellow orange.
2) The Sunred Papaya is a pink fleshed papaya.
Papaya fruit is sweet and high in Vitamin C.
The skin and seeds are not edible.
Mom got some Rainbow Papaya … smells good.
DELISH! Tasty, Can I have some more … ?

Oh I love Papaya! But I swear it doesn’t taste the same on the mainland. You have to have in Hawaii. Love your photo of you licking your chops.

You lucky girl! I fell in love with papaya on a trip to Acapulco.
I didn’t know what it was. Is it a peach? No, not as sweet and it has
a different texture. I finally had to ask somebody! YUM!
Thank you for the Tasty Tuesday!
That sure looks yummy!

the Mama is not much of a fan of papaya, but me and the Felix like it, so she buys it just for us. I bet Hawaiian Papaya is really tasty!
