This month’s {This Moment} See Beautiful: Different is Beautiful,
the featured photos are Rock Pigeons.
Rock Pigeons are known as Rock Doves.
I see these pigeons on the beach.
To provide them enough space, I don’t come close to them.
If they sense I’m close, they fly immediately.
They are fast fliers and they fly in flocks.
They have sharp and pointed wings.
We also noticed they have salmon colored feet.
They love to hunt for food and eat, which explains their long pointed bills.
For whatever reasons, not many adore these pigeons.
They sure have a unique bird personality.

Nice shots- especially the last one. Have a great day!
I have never seen pigeons on the beach….just gulls or terns. Really nice shots.
Interesting, we have quite a lot of pigeons here in the city of course but they are a bit dirty from all the urban grime
urban hounds
Great pictures! I like pigeons, but then I don’t live in the city 😉
love the last one, she looks like she’s smiling!
Wow….I didn’t nose there were PIGEONS on da beach. We only have SEA GULLS here!
We used to raise birds similar to those – our rock doves here in AZ are small and grey colored. What an interesting difference.

Wonderful photography of beautiful pigeons of nature ~ lovely post ~ (A Creative Harbor)
Lovely shots of the pigeons on the beach.
Beautiful shots!
We love birdies! Our mommy only sees seagulls at the beach here in Oregon but she’ll have to look closer to see if there’s pigeons too!
I love doves very much. When I was still working we had a doves nest in my window. I wouldn’t let the window washers wash my windows until the birds were done with their babies.
Have a woof woof day Sugar. My best to your mom. 🙂
hey Sugar,
Lovely photos! I just love birds, even the ones the humans don’t like so much. The various colorings and markings of the pigeons make them so unique. You are making such nice and interesting friends in your new home!
Are you still sleeping? October is almost here! ;->

I love the photos of the Beach Pigeons.
Blessings,

I keep forgetting to do this See Beautiful entry. I still have time to do it on friday. Oh yes, I want to ask: how do your humans keep you from having fleas and ticks? My dog lives in Malaysia where it is very humid and warm, bit like Hawaii, just boiling hot instead of nice warm breeze. He keeps having ticks and fleas even with a flea collar and qnti-flea shampoo.
Your new blog pal,
Sankissjuice
Sugar those little birdies have very pretty eyes
Hugs Madi your BFFF
I think they stay together forever too

The pigeons looks so clean and pretty, Sugar. Not the image we typically have of pigeons in the big city:(
Thanks for sharing your pretty photos.

So pretty. We luv to look at birds, so does our Mommy. Thanks fur sharing these sweet ones. Happy Friday!
I used to have some pigeons when I was a kid… I loved them! My first was a white one very similiar to the one in your photo…except mine also had some grey spots around her neck. She was very tame and my very first pet. They really are very gentle creatures.
