Caffeine is most commonly found in coffee.
My mom loves coffee.
According to her, there are many tasty delish coffee grown and roasted in Hawaii.
During the week, my mom drinks about 5 cups of coffee.
Yes, I think that’s a lot.
In the weekend, she gets a special flavored coffee with fancy decor on top.
It surely smells good … but coffee is only for human consumption.
Just like chocolate, coffee contains Theobromine.
Coffee is a food that can be as toxic to a dog.
If consumed, it will stimulate a dog’s central nervous system, and it could cause some serious side effects. At the very least, a dog may only get an upset stomach, and at the very worst, it could have a seizure or an increased heart rate.
So be safe to those who loves coffee and have a dog.
Keep any type of coffee product away from your dog,
including coffee beans, coffee grounds, and coffee itself.
Save all the tasty delicious coffee all for yourself!

VERY good advice Sugar! We have to be careful with LadyBug as if she sees a cup of coffee that someone left…and she can reach it…she WILL take a sip! Thank you for this good advice and have a Happy Tasty Tuesday!
xoxo Chloe and LadyBug
Daisy loves the smell of chocolate and coffee too, but we make sure she doesn’t get close enough to have any. We don’t give her any turkey either, since it has the same chemical in it. Can’t be too careful with these small dogs! Great information!
thanks for the tip, i did not know this, but i dont let our dogs have coffee and our garbage can is safely inside a closed cabinet.
We’ve always been careful about coffee. Monty did get into a cup once at my Mom’s house (she isn’t as careful) and spent about an hour with the mad zoomies. He was okay though!

Hmmmm…Maybe that’s why my Mom is always bouncin’ off the walls!
Hey Sugar, Jet here.
Good reminder. Mom does not care for coffee, unless it shows up in the format of ICE CREAM!
We keep coffee and chocolate way up high so our Little Bit can’t get anywhere near it. Great public service announcement Sugar. I love my coffee too and Hawaii has some really great coffee.
Have a woof woof day Sugar. My best to your mom. 🙂
Mom loves coffee too! She used to drink at least 3-4 cups a day but she had since cut it down to only 1 cup a day.
Thank you for sharing the info with us. Mom never gives me coffee or chocolate. Samantha used to love the smell of coffee. We don’t beg for food but for some reason, when she saw mom and dad having their coffee, she would beg for it(with drool and all).

No worries here. I do believe that I would not like it. Although my MOM loves it. I do like the smell however.
Blessings,
Goose
Sugar, I didn’t know this and appreciate your info; I always keep chocolate away from my dogs but had not a clue about coffee. I always have it first thing in the morning but will make sure Hunter can’t get to it.
Have a great warm Hawaiian Day!
Noreen & Hunter
Sugar our Moms might be distant cousins. Mom loves coffee too but not me…I have been known to lick the rim of her cup but she thinks I’m after the taste of whatever she had in her mouth before drinking the coffee.
Cause we all know everything is better off mom’s plate.
Hugs madi your BFFF
Mama drinks those flavored coffees ever day an I never gets none cos you right! Good info!
Oh, I wasn’t aware of this! Ma sometimes has coffee flavored ice cream and let me lick the spoon once. Didn’t affect me, but I will say NO next time!! Silly Ma.
Kisses,
Ruby
Our mom loves coffee too and she knows to never give it to us

your Mom drinks 5 cups of coffee IN ONE WEEK? My mom drinks that (at least) in ONE DAY. That is how she has her “charming” personality lol
Yep we knew caffeine is toxic to dogs…thanks for sharing for those that do not know
Our mommy doesn’t like coffee or even the smell of it at all so we’ve never had any in the house. Maybe that’s why she’s tired all the time. It couldn’t be because we get her up at o’dark early!
Our mom loves her cup of coffee every morning with breakfast and the news. We never get a taste of it either, Sugar.
Love ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
Wonderful advice Sugar. I love the smell of coffee because it usually means that a bagel and cream cheese or egg and cheese sandwich isn’t far away. I’m constantly approaching people of the streets with the hope of snagging their breakfasts…. Much love to you – XXOO – Mazzie
Thankfully nobody likes coffee in my house!
Great info!
Kisses and hugs
