These two cows reside in a ranch close to Miss O’s house.
If you’re a follower of my blog you know who Miss O is, if not Click Here.
These cows were eating as we approached them.
They look AMAZED … seeing me and my mom’s camera making clicks.
As you can see they have a tag.
What do these ear tags mean ?
An ear tag on a cow is a mark containing special codes.
This helps the rancher keep a record of their birth dates, vaccinations and other key criteria necessary for raising a cow.
They don’t seem to be happy. They did not even give me a Mooooooo.
Lots of Golden L♥VE n Woofs
SUGAR
i always wonder what they think of those tags on their ears… so cute. lovely view. (:
Oh I do think they are happy they are just very curious. These are great shots. Ear tags in Canada are bar code scanners making it easier to trace the origin(where the cow was born). We name some of ours girls it is really hard to call a number” Here #35 here #28″ as compared to “Here Bossy here Gracie”. LOL B
Maybe they were just holding very still for their photo op! Woofs from Jeffie and Rudy
haha, yeah, they don’t really look that impressed! so cute though!
Great pics. I hope next time you get a MOOOOOOOOOOOooooo!
Wonderful photos of beautiful cows ~ they seem fascinated by the camera ~ (A Creative Harbor)
Love this. I always wondered what the tags meant…thanks for the info.
my love for cows is number 2 behind dogs at 1, love these guys
They look like they are best buds.
Those cows live in paradise so they should be happy! Maybe Miss O’s Goldens play with them and they were waiting for you to come play too Sugar!
Those cows are adorable

Hugs madi your BFFF
I think cows are interesting, but my sister is scared of them because when she was young in Germany her and mom got chased by a herd of them so she is afraid. I think they are pretty too. Wonder if it is true that the brown ones make chocolate milk or if mom just made that story up???
I just love cows…so cute!
LOL – they are probably not used to having their picture taken!
Sam

They kind of look like statues standing there. They have gentle looking faces don’t they?
Hi Y’all,
Thanks for stoppin’! Great to see you!
Some of the cows we get are ear tagged, some are branded.
Hope y’all are havin’ a great day!
Y’all hurry back now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
I’ll bet they smelled GRRRRREAT.
You asked where we went on Vacay… We went to Hueston Woods State Park in South Western Ohio… not too far from where Sweet William Lives.. in Cincinnati.
Beautiful cows!
I always love to see images of cattle — they really do have lots of personality.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us at Rural Thursdays. xo
Looks like you got pretty close! Brave!
Are cows more content if they do not pay any attention to things outside of their own space? I don’t know about cows, hahahaa…I can hope they are happy.
Hey Sugar, Jet here.
Good looking cows ya got there! Since I’m part herding K9 (the border collie side), I feel drawn to them! BOL.
Mooo….great shots…I didn’t know that about the tags…
Maybe they wanted to join you on your walkie!
Cows are beautiful!
Kisses and hugs

Great cow shots!! They were probably very interested in you!! We watched a show last night where these two gorillas were very interested in a teeny, tiny little caterpillar!! It was pretty funny how fascinated they were…they were even pushing each other out of the way!
xoxo Chloe and LadyBug
Nice to see the moo moos. Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly
Those cows are awesome! We’ve never seen a cow up close!
