It’s October and we are amazed to see several Hibiscus bushes in full bloom.
On our walks last weekend, mom took several photos of Hibiscus flowers …
Yellow Hibiscus is the official State Flower of Hawaii.

There are about 7 known species of Hibiscus flowers native to Hawaii.
This is the Hibiscus Kokio. It is known for its red to orangish flowers.
LOVE the vibrant colors and it sure reminds us of Fall.

I remember seeing all the beautiful hibiscus when I visited Hawaii. Maybe I’ll get some inspiration from the orange ones to help with my fall mantel that is all brown so far!!
{{SIGH}} just Yesterday… my dad had to cut OUR Hibiscus all down. they got TOTALLY Frosted.

When my mom was in Hawaii she got a Ring that had hibiscus flowers all the way around it. She LOVED that ring. Wore it fur YEARS.

Sugar, I love Hibiscus! My parents had bright red ones in Ca. when I was growing up and they always bring back fond memories. I love seeing them in the islands too. Thank you for sharing-makes me want to come visit.

Oh, I just LOVE hibicus!! Ma has LOTS of them. It’s the only flower she doesn’t kill…hehehe

The hibiscus is such a beautiful flower, we are not surprised it is the state flower of Hawaii. We don’t see that color very often here, but isn’t it just gorgeous?!!
