A hill is a mound on the land. It is not as big as a mountain.
Giggle Hill can be seen on Hana Hwy (on the way to Hana, Maui HI).
it’s a popular place for local family gatherings/events.
Lately, due to its history it been popular to many visitors of the island.
As you can see, I am obeying the rule. I’m not a horse but a dog on a leash.
Giggle Hill is located in Haiku, Maui HI. at Fourth Marine Division Memorial Park.
Also known as the Kokomo Road Park.
What’s the history behind this park?
During World War II, thousands of U.S. Marines were stationed in Haiku, Maui HI.
At Kokomo a military outpost known as Camp Maui was established. For many years, it served as a training camping ground and recreational center for the Fourth Marine Division.
Many Marines have fond memories of this place and the aloha spirit they’ve experienced.
This is the main reason that the park was named after the Marines Division.
Why is it called Giggle Hill?
It’s because of all the giggling going on when young Marines met pretty girls.
They found the hill to be a secluded place and hung out there.
Giggle Hill is also popular to many because its a great place to hike (climb to the tip top).
We heard that there’s at least 3 possible trails. Due to my allergies and mom’s too, hiking the Giggle Hill was not an option. We can tell you that it looks like an awesome hike wherein you’ll walk through Cook Pines with magnificent height, around 200 feet tall.
I enjoyed being in this park. Huge grass area and I did Golden Zoomies.
I had Lots of Golden Giggles.
If you visit Maui, Hi and enjoy hiking, make sure to visit the Fourth Marine Division Memorial Park where Giggle Hill is located.
