Thirsty Milo Our New Word for Water

November 26, 2012

I admit that I’m picky when it come on drinking water. My mom gets mad at me when I don’t drink enough water particularly when we go for a long walk/run/drive. It’s been a problem for a long time. I refuse to drink water from a park fountain or any public water source. My mom always carries a portable water bowl and the water MUST come from my home. Yes, I have a bit of a problem drinking water that is not from my home. Yes it sounds very silly but its the truth.

I had two portable collapsible drinking bowls unfortunately both did not survive.
Lucky ME that Mark sent me Thirsty Milo, a portable dog water bowl.
Mark is the designer of Thirsty Milo. Milo is the name of his dog.
He loves to take him everywhere and often asks Milo, “Are you Thirsty Milo?”

I’m lucky enough that I get to go everywhere too.
I love to go for a long walk/run on my favorite road, Thompson Road.
I love to go for a 2 mile swim and/or simply for a long drive.
WATER is a MUST companion drink .

We love Thirsty Milo.
Some of you might think its a bit big but it is just perfect.
You can fill it to about 1.5 liters or 51 ounces of water.
That’s a lot of water, about 5 small 10oz water bottles.

What’s so cool about Thirsty Milo?
It’s washable using mild soap or by placing in your top shelf dishwasher (what we did).
Once you fill it with water, it’s not heavy at all and the wide handle makes it easy to carry.
The lid is effortless to maneuver.
Mom always fills Thirsty Milo with a very cold water.
Thirsty Milo is able to keep the temperature at a good level for about an hour.
The rim and wideness is just right for my Golden thirst and Tongue. No spills. No water wasted.

Love the color combo too, blue and orange. It also comes in pink and purple.
We give Thirsty Milo 4 Golden Paws.
Lots of Golden Thanks Mark for providing us Thirsty Milo.
We invite everyone to check out Thirsty Milo’s website for more detailed information
and like Thirsty Milo’s Facebook page.

Thirsty Milo is going to be accompanying me on my future Golden Adventures.
Definitely, we will plan for a follow-up review.

Lots of Golden L♥VE n Woofs

I think that is a super great water bowl. All I have is a canvas folding bowl. It works well on hikes, but you have to fill it when I want or need a drink, it can’t carry it’s own water when we hike.

We have a Gulpy that we take everywhere with us when we think the pups will need water. Boomer doesn’t mind drinking out of fountain but Dottie sure minds. She’ll go without even if we beg her to drink something. Maybe this Thirsty Milo would be good for us b/c it holds so much more!

    November 26, 2012 at 2:35 PM

That looks like a great way to carry your water Sugar! Our sisfur Sadie was picky about what water she drank too so Mommy always had to take a big thermos full of water on road trips or a bottle of water on short trips. That looks way cooler though!

  31. Jessica @ YouDidWhatWithYourWeiner says

    November 26, 2012 at 3:06 PM

Chester and Gretel don’t like to drink water on the go either. I have to put some kind of flavoring (like a little bit of low-sodium chicken broth) in their water to get them to drink. The orange and blue colors of that bowl are pretty snazzy but it would be too big and bulky for us to take hiking with us. It looks like it would work great for car travel and short walks though. Tell your Mom she could put one in each hand and use them as arm weights while walking 🙂

Sugar, that looks like a great product so you can bring water from home. One time on a dog show trip we didn’t bring water from home and after drinking the local water the 3 Siberian Huskies got sick all over van. We had to hose it out and it smelled for a long time. It’s always better to have your own water!

HIya Sugar! This does look like a super product but is it only available in Europe? I couldn’t find any US distributors on the Thirsty Milo website…Do you know if it’s being carried here in the States?

That thirsty Milo is a GREAT idea! I think if I had a big dog (which I willone day!) I would definetly be investing in one of these over those tiny water bottle trays, Kirby currently has. Happy monday Sugar sugar! Love Kirby, your little minime lookalike.

Oh, that’s a great idea Sugar! I, too, have a drinking problem. I only drink from my crate cup or a bucket. Strange, I know. But, I don’t like drinking from a bowl on the ground, drives Ma crazy! Ma will be on the lookout for this though, it looks like it might work.

    Kisses,
    Ruby

That Thristy Milo look s really cool! I have a special water carrier too, which is this bottle with a top that is also a bowl…kind of.

I am glad you will be drinking enough water now Sugar 🙂 My mom used to know a horse who did not like water from anyplace besides his own barn. She says this got really tricky when they would go to horse shows. And horses need a Lot of water too!
