Do you look for tasty inspirations? My mom do …
Googling and Pinterest are great search tools she utilizes.
She has found many sites/blogs that provided her cooking inspiration.
Lately, with the popularity of eBooks she uses Kindle as another source.
Do you know that they are free eBooks in Kindle?
Most of the free cookbooks mom downloaded were decent.
The only disadvantage was a lack of or no photos unlike a traditional printed book.
Last week (Thursday, 11/29), mom found a free doggy ebook cookbook.
Easy Homemade Dog Food Recipes: Dog Food to Drool For
Created By: Trish Ambrose
There are many easy recipes in this book and 10 Bonus Dog treat Recipes
One interesting recipe in the book that we are not familiar with is an Eggshell Powder, supposed to be a health supplement that boost calcium for your dog diet. Is anyone familiar with this? Please let us know.
Through reading the other recipes, they are easy to follow. The ingredients listed are common ingredients and most likely you’ll have it in your kitchen.
No Photos provided in all the recipes.
Just have to imagine it or better yet you just have to recreate one of the recipes.
Just remember to use a recipe as an inspiration and/or guideline to make your dog treat.
You don’t have to follow what’s listed.
Modify a recipe according to your dog’s likeness especially if he or she has allergies.
For those who cook homemade meals for this dog, this ebook is worthwhile to get.
If you just love to make special meal/treat for your dog, this ebook is a good reference.
Mom promised me that she’ll make me a meal and a tasty treat from this book.
I’m looking forward to it …
*We intend to share the link on Kindle but realized that this book is no longer free.

We use eggshell powder for calcium with out raw food sometimes! Some of our favourite meats Mama can’t get with bone, so she adds it to make sure the meal is nutritionally complete.
I love when my MOM cooks for me. I think she should get this book. But she does not have a Kindle. Does it come in paper form? We will look around for it. Have a joyful day.
Blessings,
Goose
We haven’t read any e-cookbooks. Thank you for opening my eyes to what I’m missing! Have a super Tuesday! XOXO
This looks cool! I’ve never read an ebook before, mom should try this 😀
Mom keeps on keeps on trying to add a link to my post but she just can’t, she’s been going to “Layout” and trying to save it with “Links to this post” but it doesn’t show up on my blog!:( Like the comments are supposed to say “20 woofs” but it shows up as “20 comments” no matter how many times mom tries saving it…
I’ve added my post to the hop on your blog though… could you help?

Hiya Sugar! Mom sez to tell your Mom to go to http://www.DiningDownloads.com Every day she gets an email with a list of free Kindle cookbooks. And there’s also http://www.ereadernewstoday.com for an email about free non-cookbook books. You do have to jump on those free books right away cause the offers don’t last long. *snoogles*
Thanks Sugar, the EASY homemade dog food book is just the book for me – Cool!
I think my Mommeh should cook some treats for me, too!
Hey Sugar, Jet here.
Hmpf… another reason we need a Kindle at Casa Jetty! Looks so cool.
Eggshell powder is new to us, however, Mom always puts her eggshells around the veggie garden. Breaks down into calcium and the snails have a hard time crawling over the pointy edges!
Morning Gorgeous friend!!
Now I’m hungry..I love your Tuesday posts.
Ironically my assistant was reading an article over the weekend about adding calcium to a human’s diet with crushed egg shells. I think it was in the Health column by Joe Graedon, a local columnist in the News and Observer. He and his wife write the People’s Pharmacy column. Mom will see if she can find it then send it along.

That’s definitely a new one for me!
Stewey
we’ve read recipes, the people that make homemade food like to add crushed egg shells to the mix, but we’ve never personally tried it. we usually just use flax for an egg substitute.

Hubby has a Kindle, I’m still reading books. I’m just not ready to switch. Anyway, he’s downloaded many free books and I think he checks everyday to see what’s free. So, he’s on board with this idea.
