Tasty Tuesday: Kong Treats In The Kong Wobbler

June 11, 2013

One of the tasty treats inside my mom’s BlogPaws swag bag is a chewy meat flavor treat made by Kong Treats. The mini treats are in a shape of a Kong and so cute. Believe it or not, it is my first time to have Kong Treats. I was so Golden Happy when I tasted it. The Kong Treats folks must have seen my FB and twitter photo that they asked me if I would like to try other flavors.
Of course I want to taste more Kong Treats. Mom was very picky and had a hard time choosing which one. She ended-up picking the Sweet Potato Stix.
Sweet Potato is one of my favorite treats. Sweet Potato contains beneficial nutrients such as carbohydrates, beta carotene, Vitamin C & B6, and fiber. It is a great choice to include Sweet Potato in your dog’s diet especially if your dog is diabetic or suffers allergies (like ME)
KongTreats Sweet Potato Stix are all natural, made with healthy, whole foods like Real Sweet Potatoes, Carrots and Peas. It contains no wheat, corn or soy, no animal byproducts or harmful preservatives, and it is Made in the USA

KongTreats Sweet Potato Stix: Sugar The Golden Retriever

When it arrived, mom realized it’s too big for my regular Kong. It’s time to go shopping at Petco.
Lots of Kong products which I am not familiar with.
Mom bought the Kong Wobbler which she said will keep me entertain while I dispense a Kong Treat. It was not easy. Why do I have to work so hard just to get a tasty treat?

PAWsome Combo Wobbler n Kong Treats: Sugar The Golden Retriever

I am sharing a 30sec video of me dispensing a Kong Treat in a Kong Wobbler.
I am new to the Kong Wobbler and trying to figure out how to dispense the treat.
Believe me it took longer (longerrrrrrrr) than 30sec for me to eat my Sweet Potato Stix.
The ending of the video says it all … It’s DELISH! Tasty! Can I have another one?

I feel much better now because I had never had a Kong treat either until mom brought me some from Blogpaws. That wobbler and sweat potato treats would be ideal for my sister. She loves sweat potato, me not so much and she loves toys where she has to work to get the food out, me, not so much. There is something out there for every dog! Enjoy your tasty treats!

  26. Callie, Shadow, and Ducky's Mom says

    June 11, 2013 at 12:01 PM

Hi Sugar! I m having trouble with opening YouTube videos on my KindleFire lately, so I’ll have to wait until later to check it out. Ducky still has to use the Kong Wobbler to get to her meals, otherwise she eats WAY TOO FAST for her own good. Now that she knows how to get the food out, though, it doesn’t take her as long as it used to; but at least it’s slower than the “slow-feed” bowls that Callie and Shadow eat out of (which are NOT slow enough to make them worth more $!).

Hmmm. We have a regular Kong, but I wonder how Rita would like a Wobbler… (She’d probably end up making ME get the treats out!)

    Great video!

Today looks like Kong day. You all must have gotten the memo 🙂

Gretel tried and Kong Wobbler once at the pet store play area. It only took her a minute of being confused to knock all of the treats out of it. They were small though. Perhaps bigger treats like these would be harder for her.

  33. Jules says

    June 11, 2013 at 3:21 PM

The Smoosh LOVES his Kong treats. It doesn’t take him long to dig them out, either (which his mom thinks is rather unfortunate). 😉

  35. BJ Pup says

    June 11, 2013 at 4:20 PM

BJ hops up and down when I take them out of the jar. He loves them.

Our swag bag also had a bag of the Kong Dental Chews. The took it from right away, and then couldn’t bite into it. He tried and tried and the whined when he couldn’t do it. BJ is only 20 lbs. so he may not be strong enough to break into it. I tried braking it in two and couldn’t. My next door neighbor’s standard poodle had no trouble.

    Hope everyone had better luck.

SlimDoggy Jack has a kong wobbler…and I think I even have a video of him with it. He really likes it and even though its heavy, he just picks it up and carries it around.

  41. Remy says

    June 11, 2013 at 8:03 PM

The trick to the Wobbler is to whack it with your paws as hard as you can! Actually, that is the approach I take to almost all of my treat puzzles 😉
