An Easy Way To Scoop That Poop

July 29, 2013

Are you a dog owner? Do you pick-up your dog’s poop?
Set an example and be a responsible Good Dog Owner.

There are Different Ways to Pick-Up Pet Waste. Here are some ways …

1) Waste Bag : Many uses plastic bags from the grocery/market that can be thin, light and flimsy. We prefer using eco-friendly biodegradable poop bags. It cost money but it is safer for the environment.

2) Poop Scooper (w/ clamps and handle) : Many can’t bear the feel of poop and using a poop scooper is an option. A waste bag is still needed to dispose dog’s poop. Also, its a bit big to carry on walks. This kind of poop scooper is only good for backyard household use.

3) Poop Scooper Service : Not sure why would someone leave pet waste in their yard for days/weeks. We find it unsanitary. My poop are picked up daily.

4) Easy Scoop A Poop is a product we were recently introduced to and been utilizing it. Golden LOVE its tagline “Take the “Yuck” out of Pet Waste Pick Up! It is true that many do not like the feel of pet’s waste even using a poop bag. One of our friends daughter who loves dogs (ME especially) confirmed it with us. Interesting, isn’t it? Well, the Easy Scoop A Poop is here to the rescue. It is portable so you can attach it to your dog’s leash or to your belt loop. It is also small enough to place in your pocket or purse. The Easy Scoop A Poop protects your hand/fingers from the feeling and texture of dog poop. We (mom) put it to the test and it sure works. Mom does not have an issue picking my poop and it offers a good feel alternative.  Also, there are times on our walks where irresponsible dog owner leave poop and Easy Scoop A Poop has been handy for picking up other dog’s poop is “yucky.”

Whenever I took Lily to school during the school year, I always see a lady in the neighborhood walking her dog carrying one of those poop scoopers. This product is a pretty good idea, very creative. I never thought much about people not liking the way it feels… I guess I’m just used to messing with dog poop…

I think the poop scooper is a great product! For my backyard we have a common small shovel and we remove the recycled food immediately. My Mom is a good mine sweeper and poop take awayerer .

Neat! How does it do on gravel? The desert landscaping in AZ consists of a lot of 1/2 – 3/4 inch gravel (rocks) which is where the pups mainly do their business.

P.S. – people who leave dog poop behind on walks is a pet peeve of mine… ;D

That is an interesting product. MOM does not have a problem picking up after me. But I can see how some might fine=d using thing and “feeling” better about it. Have you heard of the Ashpoopy? It is a stick like item that turns poops into environmentally friendly ash. No bags, no touching. It was suppose to come out last year but we have not seen it.

I’m with you on #3. Who wants a lawn filled with land mines? Scoop right away.

I’m intrigued by the Easy Scoop. I use flushable bags on walks. But I hate using them to clean up the yard when it’s just a few steps in to the toilet. If I could find a compact and easy to clean item to scoop poop so it could go right in the toilet without bags, I’d be very happy. I’ll definitely look into it.

Your videos are amazing and just blow us away! We don’t poop in the yard, and we don’t understand dogs that do and then the kids are out playing in the yard. No landmines, please! This looks like a great tool, but Mom is just fine with using a bag to pick up with her hands. Never heard of such a thing but it sure is a great idea for those with poo phobia 🙂

    July 29, 2013 at 12:12 PM

This product makes picking up poop less yucky. I was picking up BJ’s poop one day and a man said it was disgusting. My retort was, “I bet your mother felt the same way when she changed your diaper.”

If you have a baby or a dog it’s still your responsibility to clean up.

  31. Callie, Shadow, and Ducky's Mom says

    July 29, 2013 at 12:12 PM

I’m the pooper scooper person in this house. I try to scoop after each time that the girls do their business — especially if it’s raining or about to rain. Come to think of it, I need a new scooper…this one is the same age as Callie! And I usually keep at least one bag in the car for “just in case” times.

  32. Pam says

    July 29, 2013 at 12:32 PM

The sausages do most of their business in the backyard, and I pick it up every single day. We use different bags, depending on what we have on hand. I don’t *like* the feel of their poop, but it doesn’t bother me too much either. However, if we had larger dogs, I think the larger poops might bother me more – I would definitely consider a scooper then.
Great video demonstrating the Easy Scoop a Poop!

  34. Jackie Bouchard says

Picking up Rita’s poop doesn’t bother me. (It bothers me to pick up other dogs’ though!) I just grab it with the bags that the newspaper comes in. Figure I’m re-using those, so almost as good as re-cycling them. 🙂

  35. Flea says

    July 29, 2013 at 1:33 PM

Maybe it’s just me, but how do you clean that scooper? Say you jump in the car and head to the dog park – how do you get the poo remnants off the scooper before getting back in the car to go home? It looks way cool. I just – I deal with poo all day and bringing the smell into the car would be worse than using a bag over my hand to pick it up.

I don’t enjoy picking up my dog’s poop, but figure it’s a small price to pay for the love and joy they bring into my life. This would make things much less messy and much more convenient on a walk.

I don’t mind picking up poop. I do mind picking up multiple piles when all three of our dogs decide to go at the same time in different areas and I can’t pull out the bags fast enough – OR – there are no garbage cans around and I have to walk with the bags. Bummer!

Can’t wait to try this one out!
