If you are a pet owner you go to a vet. Do you like your vet? Do you see passion in your vet?
I’ve known my vet since I was 7 weeks old. The vet office is not a place I like to visit but it is necessary for my health. I trust my vet as I feel the passion, love and care during my visits.
Kathryn Primm love for animals and passion to be a vet started at a young age. Kathryn fulfilled her passion to be a vet and loves it. Why? From the preface of her book she stated I love my job as a vet because “it is fun and worthwhile.”
Can your vet say the same thing? I’m sure mine would say the same thing.
Kathryn wrote Tennessee Tails: Pets and Their People to share how she became passionate to be a vet and stories of pets and their people she cared for.
If you are an animal lover, Kathryn’s book will touch your soul. Each story she shared will make you smile, laugh, and cry (which mostly for a good reason). Three stories entitled Jackpot, Baby Daddy and Manning Up were our favorite chapters to read. Love the way Kathryn titled her book chapters. It makes you wonder and curious before reading the story.
Kathryn truly loves animals and her calling to care for pets are heartfelt in the stories she shared in her book Tennessee Tails. I give Kathryn’s book 4 Golden Paws. If you are looking for an easy PAWsome weekend book to read, I recommend Tennessee Tails.
For sure next time you visit your vet, it will make you wonder if she/he feels the same way as Kathryn’s love for animals and passion for his/her profession.
Kathryn Primm, DVM reside in Tennessee and practices at Applebrook Animal Hospital.Tennessee Tails: Pets and Their People is available at Amazon in Kindle and paperback.

Our Mommy loves book reviews! She likes our VET very much, but we’re not real big on him. HahahahaMeow!
I’ve worked with… well Idk maybe 10 different vets? I worked with about 6 of them very closely though. It is easier to really tell what they’re all about when you work that closely with them. My favorites are one of my now good friend and the exotic specialist who I was a main tech for. They really had a lot of heart. There was one I worked with who people just LOVED but I did not. He was very charismatic, but I was able to see through that. I think he was a good vet, but I just didn’t like the way he did some things… Anyways, this book sounds like a great read – nice review Sugar!

Hi Sugar, what a pawsome book review review I’m off to order it now for mummy.
Hopes you has a pawsome weekend.
xxxxx
We have had many many many vets. First because we moved and second because the clinic nearest our home has quite a few vets and many have left and gone to new practices over the years. I really like my main vet now he is willing to listen and do research and has a conservative approach we appreciate in regards to extra care. One thing Ive learned is to see a specialist if in doubt and to ask a lot of questions. The book sounds interesting and we are glad you love your vet

I’ve had the privilege of working with quite a few vets over the years and there are quite a few out there that love their job and really care for the animals. This vet sounds just the same and it’s cool she has a book out, I just might have to check it out!
that sounds like a wonderful book Sugar and you did a very nice review!
We love our vet. Back in 2005 he even gave us his cell phone number so that we may reach him 24/7, he is the BEST EVER!
Barks and licks and love,

Sounds like a great vet and book. We are lucky our vet is a family friend and he has gone above and beyond more times then we can count. We are very lucky.
we love both our vets, Dr Suzanne and Doc Dana… we have been going to their animal hospital for 24 years. with five dogs… we drive 10 miles to get there, and we pass half a dozen that are under five miles from home.
maynard jack is ok at the vet cause his doc brought him, his brother and his sisters to her vet hospital when they were itty bitty kitties – me, winston, on the other hand is rated BC meaning “be careful” not Bad Cat! I don’t like it when she cuts my nails so now mom does it at home when I am sleppy!
Sounds like a good book and one our mom would probably enjoy. We have had three vets (all from the same office) and all women since our humans started sharing their home with cats almost 30 years ago. They are all the BEST! We love them even if we don’t love what they do to us. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
That does sound like a great book and a nice sunday afternoon read. Our vet is okay – we like him but he’s not what mom calls a ‘special vet’ – she has only met one of those here in the USA so far.
WE love our Dogtor Hustey. He is super to us. There are 3 other dogtors in his office… butt we PAWfer to see OUR Dogtor. HE is the BEST.
Hey Sugar!
Wow, that vet’s book sounds great! Now, my peeps tell me that my vet and his staff are all very good peeps. I don’t believe a word of that. I try to bash them all! They poke, prod, stick, touch and generally bother me. humpft.

Very nice review.
Our Little Bit has gone to the same vet since she was four months old. She’ll be 11 in October. He’s a wonderful vet and he intend to keeps him too. Little Bit loves to go to the vet because there is a cat there and she loves to find him.
Have a woof woof day. My best to your mom. ๐
I don’t like any vet because those places are scary, but our clinic is excellent, that much I know. I just saw this vet on my social media but haven’t had a chance to check her out, so thanks for the great review. Now I know it would not be a waste of time to see what all she is up to and to look into her book. Happy Saturday!
Nice review Sugar and sounds like a swell read. We will go and check it out. Have a super Saturday.
Best wishes Molly
Sounds like a great read for Mom, Sugar…maybe one of these days she’ll have a chance to read it. We keep her busy 24/7. We love our vet, Dr. Steve! He loves us as much as Mom and Daddy do, or at least pretty close to it, Mom sez. Mom loves him too because, she says, she can tell he loves all his patients equally and sheds a few tears himself when any of them cross the Rainbow Bridge. Maybe not so you can see it, but inwardly for sure.
Hey Sugar what a great review…
I’ve been going to my vet since I was knee high to a grasshopper too. He has a very soothing voice and kind manner. I don’t even mind if he picks me up…and I AM VERY Peculiar about who handles my boooddddeee
Hugs madi your bfff
A wonderful review for a wonderful book Sugar. I agree whole-heartedly with your review. I love the way you get right to the point and enjoy yourself doing it. All the best to you and your mom Sugar!
We really do love our vet, but have to admit to you that the vet we’ve been seeing while our ‘regular one’ was on maternity leave is frustrating me a bit with Cissy, and I think we are frustrating her too. She’s a good vet, but we clearly have different ideas and a direction that I hope we can work out.
On the flip-side, I always love hearing about new books–This is my favorite kind to read, THANKS for the recommendation! I hope all is well with you and your Mom, Sugar!! Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
That book sounds great! We love our Vet, she is a cat only Vet and her place is very special. We don’t at all like the ride but we do like her!
Thank you, Sugar, for reading and reviewing my book! I am so glad that you liked it. I am pleased that I was able to convey how important I think animals are to us all. Sweet dogs like you make people smile every day and none of us ever have to be lonely or afraid when we have you around!
Great review!! We love our vet, he is the best! Since there are so many dogs in our house, he has taught us how to treat common Shih Tzu ailments to keep our bills down, and works with us when the visit is wayyy to high ๐
I love book reviews especially about books dealing with animals! I love my dogs’ vet–she has been their vet since 2003– and now that we moved to a different it’s hard not to think of how I trust her more and wish I could call her. But our new vet is great also!
Thanks for the book review ๐ We LOVE our vet, who always remembers the little things about Charlie and Hannah. But we looked far and wide to find him. He’s great at his job and is always ‘on the ball’ .
Thanks for the review. I love my vet as she is my boss ๐
Sounds like a great book. Thanks for the review.
I love stories where people are passionate about their jobs and passionate about animals. If the two coincide, well that makes it just about perfect to me.
