I have previously shared in my “Is Your Dog Getting Noticed?” post that my walks were getting interrupted. Why? I’ve been a noticeable dog wearing purple PAWZ dog boots. We are constantly getting giggles, laughs, smiles and constantly asked numerous questions.
We’ve have constantly explained why I wear PAWZ. My main reason is due to my allergies and I developed a pad rash from living in HI last year. Also, I use it for extra precaution as a senior dog. As I said before PAWZ is used mainly in the winter snow (ice and salt). It is also useful for hot pavements and beach sand. Wearing the PAWZ has eliminated my paw licking and have saved my mom lots of vet b$lls.
So happy to hear from my other bloggie friends that they have worn PAWZ too. Our friend Val’s dogs wore PAWZ in the winter and since they are moving to HI she has stock up with PAWZ. Recently, my Golden friend Luna was in AZ ,where it was very hot and wore purple PAWZ. For traction control, Kobi from WagnWoofPets wears 2 red PAWZ. My GBGV pal Emma’s sister Katie wears 1 purple PAWZ for her injured paw. My Purple PAWZ is not just making a buzz with my blog friends but also with the manufacturer, PAWZ. We were very surprised to get an email from them and they have provided me some PAWZ to wear. Lots of Golden Thanks PAWZ.
Well, it’s not just my purple PAWZ getting noticed on my walks. Many have asked us “what’s that on your leash?” and “oh you have poop on your leash” … It’s my Fifth Paw. We reviewed the product recently and Golden Love it. If you missed our post, click here to check it out. Part of our review post is also a video, which we have gotten numerous compliments.
Many of you who read our review post asked questions and we will do another post to address it. If you have further questions, just let us know.
The Fifth Paw has been so helpful for our long walks particularity if there’s not trash bin around. I have a habit to poop mid way on our walk/run. It can be unfashionable carrying a dog poop and running makes it impossible. The Fifth Paw holds my poop while we finish our walk or run.
The Fifth Paw has 3 holders which is very useful especially when we see other dog’s poop left on the ground. Have to pick it up as it is not safe for dog poops to be left on the ground. Don’t you agree? We’ve read many articles about towns having the same issues. Lots of irresponsible dog owners. It made us think to start a Blogville “Scoop That Poop” Campaign.
What do you think? If you are interested in joining us let us know.
For the meantime, mom created a 31 sec video of what she says every time we get asked about my Purple PAWZ and The Fifth Paw.
It has become a repetitive response that she routinely says …
Lots of Golden L♥VE n Woofs
SUGAR
Thanks for the heads up on the PAWZ! My human’s been looking for something like these for our camping trip “just in case”. My feet are pretty tough from our hikes but she says she’s not particularly interested in carrying me for miles back to civilization.
Personally, I think it would be kind of funny, BOL, almost as funny as making her carry my poop bag around for our whole walk!
Luckily humans are pretty good about scoopin’ the poop in our town, especially since the city placed stations with poop bags/trash cans in a lot dog-frequented areas, but there’s still a few irresponsible people who aren’t well trained. Tehe, I’ve done such a good job training my human that she carries rolls and rolls around wherever we go!
Barks & Sniffs,
Susie Q
Oh the human has been thinking of getting booties for Donna because of the hot weather too! I’m glad Sugar doesn’t mind wearing them. 🙂
Shiver has a tendency to chew his nails. He doesn’t chew on his feet or anything, he just chews his nails. I brought it up to the vet a couple of times, but he didn’t seem concerned with it, so I just let him do it. Plus, it was nice not to have to trim his nails. Now I’m wondering if maybe paws might help him to not do that. He HATES having his feet touched though, so I’m not sure how I’d ever get the Paws on him.
Well… it may be the Fifth Paw and the boots that catch peoples’ eyes… but it has to be your sweetness that brings the smiles, Sugar. Woofs from Jeffie, Rudy and Rosie
Sounds like a good idea I hate when people don’t pick up
Urban hounds
Because dogs sweat through their feet it is not a good idea to put boots on them in hot weather for a long period of time.
Thanks for the mention, Sugar 🙂 Mom thought a lot about the “5th Paw” the past few days when she had 4 dogs and poop. She did plan our routes so garbage cans were around where we did our business but she still ended up juggling a bag and 4 leashes sometimes! Not sure if we would pick up the poop of others. With 2 of us, there is a lot to pick up and during the summer we often have 3 with my pal Buddy. Mom is not keen on picking up the leftovers of others. Actually, in our area most people do pick up after their dogs so it isn’t a real big problem. We do get mad, though when people occasionally leave poop on the walkway or in the park where we walk.
You look just as fabulous in the green PAWZ as the purple! The fifth paw is a good idea for the circumstances you have. I agree, nice for making it convenient to pick up after others. BTW, I like your new banner look!
Poop and boots, a good way to get attention Sugar…lol. But seriously, thanks for the heads up on these great products!
My Mum is going to be looking out for PAWZ here and possibly buying stocks in them too 🙂
Thank you for mentioning us, Sugar! Kobi is still loving his Pawz, and we love that they keep his paws dry and help him walk better. Because of his traction problems, his toes were splaying a bit, and then he had a sore spot from that. The Pawz keep his toes together so that isn’t happening, and they keep the dirt out too. We live in a pretty rural area so don’t run into a lot of other dog poop. But Kobi sometimes has to poop two or three times on a walk! So I am thinking we might like to try the Fifth Paw, it looks very convenient.
We have foot licking issues and Paws might be the answer. The poop carrying thing looks cool too. Dad has the cannisters that hook to his belt so he has enough bags, but still has to carry them.
it is my personal opinion that you would be noticed even without the pawsome paws and fifth paw…
Hey Sugar!
Wow, your PAWZ footwear is totally fashionable and very chic! You look great in purple. I bet lots of peeps stop because they enjoy your golden beauty!
Grr and Woof,
Sarge, COP
Count us in the poop pick up campaign, sounds like a great idea!
We love your little booties Sugar, that is a cool poop bag 🙂 Have a wonderful day xx00xx
Mollie and Alfie
We think your Pawz are awesome! 🙂
Paw covers and Poop Scooping are very impawtant thingys. Excellent post Sugar and your video was very well done.
Our mom Always picks up the poops.
Hey Sugar…every girl loves shoes and you wear them w such style and class
Hugs
Madi your bfff
Oooo! I missed the poop holder post. What a great idea!
I will write a post sometimes what my staff did as I had an injured paw and they tried to cover it. We are still looking for the “poopinator”- holder-thingy. By now we couldn’t find it here – but I’m sure we will find one :o) Have a golden Monday
How could people not take notice of you – you are after all as sweet as sugar 🙂
I’m sure you would get noticed with out the shoes or the bag. I’m just saying.
Have a woof woof day Sugar. My best to your mom. 🙂
Mom was going to buy PAWZ last winter but the stores were sold out. She’s going to get me PAWZ now for the winter.
We have a lot of construction on our street and the men put large metal plates on the sidewalk. She’s been picking me up so my paws won’t burn when it’s hot. I told her to get PAWZ for me now and she won’t have to carry me,
Big question – What color should I get?
Hugs and Lick, BJ Pup
I love the poopie holder. Mom doesn’t like to carry the poop all the way back home.
Missy posted: https://www.dawsondogs.com/blog/2013/7/Missy-and-her-Boys
We should try these. We tried some booties a few years ago, but I rejected them – they were too bulky. These look much more lightweight.
Your pal, Pip
Such great PAWZ! You look great, always.
🙂
Scoop the poop sounds like a great idea Sugar. We have peeps who don’t pick up here too. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
So far I haven’t been able to find PAWZ around here. They would be a BIG help for when it rains since our yard turns into a giant mud puddle. At least Ducky has little feet without much fur between her paw pads; but even with a between-groomings trim, the big girls track mud into the room so I have to keep a towel near the back door.
Your Scoop the Poop campaign sounds like a great idea, but I don’t know if many people will want to scoop other dogs’ poop…especially if it’s really stinky…I know I wouldn’t. Besides, we don’t have any way of knowing what nasty germs might be living in it. At least with our own dogs, we have some control. I have enough to handle with my own dogs and their needs without having to clean up after every irresponsible stranger’s dog as well.
A poop-pick up campaign sounds like a good idea. I often mutter to myself on walks, “There is no Poop Fairy, people!” Makes me crazy when folks don’t pick up.
Our mommy would notice your sweet face first Sugar! Then when bent down to say hi she’d ask about the other things. We think it’s a great idea about the poop scoop campaign since Mommy always scooped our sisfur Sadie’s poop even though it about make her puke!
LOL Sugar, I need Pawz and a fifth paw. I’m usually the one stuck carrying it. 🙂
Now that’s a video!!!! I love it, Sugar! I say start the “Scoop the Poop” Campaign. There are so many owners around here who leave the poops on the ground for other people (or dogs) to step in. Talk about being disrespectful of others!

You are a real honest to dog trendsetter! I think PAWZ are a marvelous idea. When we lived in the condo, my neighbor dog wore them for every walk. Being and innocent cat person, I asked her about them. We lived downtown then and she said she takes them off immediately when she get back into her condo. She started it because her dog was tracking in chewing gum. PAWZ or great if neighborhood humans have no ettiguette.
Oh Sugar you are hilarious. Those boots people should give you one in every color for free advertising
Snorts,
Benny & Lily
I think your campaign sounds like a terrific idea Sugar, but you already know that. I also like the 5th paw thing… what a great idea! I don’t really like to carry anything when I’m walking around, much less a bag of dog poo.
I might join, it depends on what it entails and how much time is involved. I usually avoid group events because they can be super time consuming! Barks and licks and love, Dakota
I think you are a real trend setter Sugar 🙂
Those are such cool shoes, gorgeous Sugar, but we KNOW you are getting all that attention for your stunning beauty, sweetheart…Happy Monday, dear friend…kisses…Calle, Halle, Sukki, Mommy Cat, Daddy Cat
I think that fifth paw is a great idea!
I end up tying Sage’s poop bag to her leash so I don’t have to carry it, but this Fifth Paw sounds pretty helpful! And yes, a campaign about those irresponsible peeps that don’t clean up after their dogs is a great idea. Unfortunately, those that ‘just leave it’ generally don’t read blogs.
Sage’s Mom
Sugar with your happy smile you’d get noticed anywhere…Momz likes your video…she’s got some stock answers for me too when people ask what I am and why I’m so silly…Wwe both want to join your “Scoop the Poop Campaign” cause we get really mad at those rude non-scoopers
Oh, I loves your Paws Sugar! I thinks they look good on you…Me? yeah, I’ll have to say no. butts that’s cause I don’t have any problems.
I HATE, I mean HATE it when peeps don’t pick up our business!!! There is nothing more annoying!!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
You would get my attention Sugar, your such a beauty and have all the cool stuff.
The Pawz sizer chart is too cute! They need to make you their spokesmodel…
You’re one decked out pooch! We have something similar to the Fifth Paw on our poop bag holder. It’s great not having to hold poop filled bags on walks.
Sugar you are so cute with and without your pawz. We bet people would stop to say hi just because you are so sweet. Our mom and dad always pick up our poop, but we don’t think they would pick up anyone else’s. There are a couple of parks where the poop situation is pretty bad and we would have to stop ever 10 feet.
I love you PAWZ. I have asked ma to get me a pair but our store doesn’t have my size in right now. I always wear boots in the summertime heat to protect me from hot concrete but I wear them on other occasions to. I wear socks when I visit people in hospitals so I don’t pick up some nasty germ on the floor and bring it to our house but I always have to take them off before I get in the car so ma can put them in a bag.
The leash thing sounds like a cool idea. May have to check that out.
Have a pawtastic week.
I was just thinking about Sugar’s purple paws when I walked Pierson this weekend. We took an extra long walk to the Starbucks and had to cross many streets. As you may know, the black pavements of the streets are very very hot. So we ran across those streets as fast was we could.
On your question about the Scoop that Poop campaign, we’d love to join. 🙂
Good for you for picking up other people’s dog poop. We do that a lot too. We usually run where there are plenty o trash cans so I just carry the bag. When we are hiking, we often to have to hike miles before we get back to the trailhead. Even then, there isn’t always a trash can so we have to bring it home in the car. I put the poo bag into a heavy-duty Ziplock bag and you can’t smell it if you carry it in your pack or car (just remember to take it out! Ha, ha)
My Twitter pal ArlieJo has a very serious nail condition (can’t remember the term) so she has had to start wearing a bootie on it so she will leave it alone. Love Dolly
Hey Sugar,
I dig your colored pawz buddy, better than nail polish!! Mum keeps trying to put things on my paws cos sometimes the ground can be super hot, but I’m having none of it – you’re a girlie, so they look cool on you! 🙂
Big wags
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
You’re just adorable in your purple paws Sugar!!! Our mom has been thinking of getting us some too, because our paws get really dry and chapped in the hot Australian summers! Happy woofs, Charlie and Hannah
I DEFINITELY need to get some of these for Ru. We walk city blocks and you never know what you’re going to find on city blocks.
