- New antlers are covered in fuzzy hairy hair called “velvet”

I’m a Senior dog that enjoys a good chew. Chewing Elk Antlers has been my favorite natural chew since I was a young pup. Elk Antler contains natural sources of calcium, phosphorous, glucosamine and chondroitin and other beneficial vitamins and minerals. These nutrients are all very good for your dog’s bones, teeth and gums, coat and overall health.Chewing an Elk Antler does a remarkable job cleaning on my stubborn back teeth. Check out the 39 sec video below and you’ll see a close-up view of ME chewing using my back teeth.

Wow, I had no idea antlers grew that much in a day – that is amazing! Farley loved deer antlers. With Newton teething so bad right now, he will occasionally gnaw on one too…
I think I would love to have an elk antler. A few of my pack are tough chewers and Mommy’s afraid someone will break their teeth. So Mom is going to research elk antlers and see if they’re tooth-breakers.
you actually chewed on it???? Gosh – we gave ours a sniff – figured they were nothing more then rocks and they have spent the last two years sitting in the bottom of the toy box 🙂 🙂
My guys don’t go for elk antlers. They prefer moose antlers. And not just any moose antler, it needs to be the wavy edge. I find this part of the moose antler to be quite a bit softer than an elk antler. Not sure if that is why the boys like it better….
Looks dog-gone good, Sugar!
We have elk antlers too and Ciara and Lightning do enjoy them. Phantom isn’t crazy about chewing. Thanks for the code.
Have a Tasty Tuesday.
Woos – Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
We like elk antlers too! Seeing Taryn’s comment…now we’re curious about moose antlers.
Looks excellent. What a great pre-birthday present!
Elk and DEER antlers are WONDERFUL fur SO many reasons… We have a whole COLLECTION of Deer antlers… and we chew them ALL THE TIME. We can’t stress enough… antlers are totally SAFE fur us to chew… until they get way SMALL and then should be thrown away… BUTT thankfully THAT takes a VERY VERY long time to happen.
That’s been my favorite chew too, Sugar! In fact, Mom said we were going to have to go buy a new one really soon…mine’s down to the nubbin’s.
Sure looks like you are enjoying it Sugar. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
We have several elk antlers in the garage. I keep saying we’re going to have to try this with the dogs. No smell, huh? That right there is a big selling point!
My sister can’t have the anymore since she crushed hers into little pieces. They say they don’t splinter but those little pieces made Mom nervous. Now just I can have mine. I am not as rough I guess. I just enjoy gnawing on it, Katie always has to eat everything!
You really like your antlers, Sugar. Ma gave me one once but I was not interested. To each their own, I say! Happy Tasty Tuesday!

Ooh, I loves antlers! I usually have deer antler, but that looks yummy.
i have not tried these for Jake and Baby yet. No, it was not us that planned to demolish the pool.
It’s so cute how your eyes are closed when you chew. Are you closing your eyes to pretend that you are in the wild and caught this elk yourself? 😉
I’m glad you’re getting special barkday treats Sugar.
Have a woof woof day. My best to your mom. 🙂
Sugar you K9s get to eat the most exciting and delish things….
my menu consists of fancy feast, Purina One twice a day in very very very very very very small portions. Mom is the food police. And I get 8 yes 8 Temptation treats….yes Mom counts them.

The Lapdogs all LOVE their antlers… we’ve had elk, moose and deer and they are their favorite chews!
Elk antlers are awesome and I can tell you really love them! Look at those blissful faces you’re making. I keep telling you that you’ve got to stop being so cute… I can’t take it anymore. Those scrunched-up eyes while you’re chewing are just the cutest.
BestElkAntlers is a great company – I believe they’re the sister company to BestBullySticks, which we also love.
great video! My dogs like elk antlers too!
Antlers are one of the few things I won’t chew on. Mebbe cos I’m a little dog? I’m glad you like them so much!
I just ordered the Chef’s Choice package…we’ll see if my girls like them. Thanks for the promo code!
Nom nom nom! I LOVE my elk antler! It’s one of the few things mom will let me chew because it doesn’t splinter.

Brown dawgs love elk antlers. Unfortunately they also get grumpy with each other when they get them so no more for them…lol. Silly brown dawgs have to miss out because we would have been all over that discount!
Oh, YUMMERS!! Those sure do look good Sugar!!
Kisses
Ruby ♥
Yum Sugar, you enjoy those sweet one!
I love antlers too, Sugar! Delicious and nutritious 🙂
Wow! I had no idea that antlers could grow that much in a day! It seems like you could almost watch them grow! I bought some antlers for the boys and they love them! I was worried that they would leave a residue when they chew them, and although they may “flake” a little, it’s easily brushed off. You look so cute chewing your antler Sugar!
We tried an antler once and it splintered. No more for us
Benny & Lily
I love antlers 🙂
