Last Wednesday 8/14, I attended a Play Date Event sponsored by Purina Beneful.
It was held in the city, Chicago’s Grant Bark Park.
My buddy Rocco from To Dog With Love was also in attendance.
Make sure to check out Rocco’s blog for more photos.
Beneful Play Date is a tour event where in they are visiting 8 parks across the country to celebrate the special relationships people share with their four legged best buddies. All in all the Beneful Play Date events are designed to inspire more dog play across America.
I had Lots of Golden FUN? It was a 2 hour event and got to play several games. The games where inspired from people’s childhood plays with a doggie-twist.
1) Spoon Races – wherein my dad carried a tennis ball on a spoon while he assisted me to navigate an agility weave pole and a frame.
2) Toss & Fetch – one of my favorite play, wherein a tennis ball is thrown inside a hoop (tire). I have to retrieve it by going through the hoop.
3) Squeaky Toy Pit – OMG! Oh My Golden! A pit of tennis balls wherein there were hidden treats. I spent lots of time in this area …
4) Water Misters – I Golden LOVE to get wet and surely was a great way to cool off.
At the event, Arden Moore a national dog expert and author was in attendance. Ms. Moore is the founder and creator of Four Legged Life and creator of National Dog Party Day. Yah! what a Fun Dog Pawty 🙂 We will definitely do a follow-up write with Arden Moore’s Dog Parties. Also, mom was intervened by Ms. Moore to be featured in her popular radio show, Pet Life Radio.
From Arden Moore “I had the grrr-eat pleasure of meeting a very special Golden named Sugar Golden Woofs while directing the play at the Beneful Play Date Tour stop in Chicago. Now, this is one give-it-her-all canine crooner. She is 12 and sported more energy at the event than most of the young pups. Power to the (ageless) paw!”
Sugar, the Betty White of the Dogs.
I had a Golden PAWtastic time to have an opportunity to play with Arden Moore.
Do you have an idea for a Dog Park? What if you had $500,000 to create a Dream Dog Park where you and your dog(s) can play together? What would you do? Your ideas could inspire the Dream Dog Park Team Renovation in your area. I invite to check Beneful Dream Dog Park website. Arden Moore is going to be part of the managing team renovation from a dog’s point of view, along with judges Nate Berkus and Jason Cameron.
Lots of Golden L♥VE n Woofs
