I had no idea a poodle could be a service dog. we have Southeastern Guide Dogs here and service dogs are a common sight in all our stores and restaurants where they take them to train.
Carma’s Hair! LoL I love it! Every time I see a picture I giggle.
Keep up the great work Sugar, Carma and Garth. Awareness is key! Love & hugs to you all.
I (FRANKIE FURTER) went to School fur EVER to become a Therapy Guy. I can go to hospitals and nursing homes and Schools and libraries and stuffs. I used to do it a LOT. I ♥Loved going to the nursing homes.
Sugar this is a FANGtatic post.
MOM says I am a service dog. Butt alas I did not go to school for it. Just know when something is wrong with my MOM and I alert her to the situation. If I had a hat I would tip it to all those wonderful Service and Therapy dogs.
Blessings,
Goose
Great black and white Sunday post. I love that photo of Sugar and me together. Thank you for joining the blog hop !
Sugar that was interesting. I had no clue what fabulous things Service Dogs have to do. Also it was interesting to discover the work of a Therapy dog. Golden thanks to you for this post and to Carma and Garthe for their great work!

Happy BW Sunday! Thanks for the info Sugar, we never knew the difference before.
Great pics and post today Sugar! Love that you shared both roles and the differences. My favorite one this weekend in addition to Sue’s post! Happy Woofs!
Great post Sugar, respect to all service dogs out there.
Sheba.
What sweet photos of Sugar and her best buds! Love the info graphics, so many people do not understand the difference between therapy and service dogs. Even one of my own family members (who shall remain nameless) once encouraged me to bring my therapy dog into a restaurant ‘because they won’t know the difference’. Of course that was a teachable moment to explain how doing that could jeopardize the business’s willingness to comply with the ADA and admit true service dogs in the future.
Great post featuring service dogs and therapy dogs and outlining the differences between them. A lot of people don’t know the differences. Both are very special canine citizens and are dedicated to their jobs.
It is unfortunate that I have recently heard about people “faking” service dogs just so they can bring their dogs everywhere. Like just putting service dog vests on their (regular) dogs and taking them into stores, restaurants, etc. It’s a detriment to real service dogs and the people they serve. I hope someone cracks down on the fakers.
Oh, Service doggies ROCK!!! They do soooo much good for all kinds of peeps!
Kudos to all the service doggies!!!
Thanks for the pawsome postie Sugar!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
This is a great hop, because a lot of people don’t know the differences (I was not clear on it myself). The infographics are great, and I will try to share them also!
I’m a therapy dog and we went to a nursing home in the neighborhood. After about year we had to stop going. It was too depressing for mom and it made her dry.
I didn’t even know that Service and Therapy Dogs have their own special day! They totally deserve it, for all the work they do.
Great job on the infographics! I saw them earlier today.
You have some very hard working friends there. Thanks for introducing them
Pretty, Sugar!
OH we liked this post alot, sugar, i wish I could be a therapy dog cos i like peoples alot. Your post inspired us so much last Thursday about shelter dogs that I wrote one also, did you get a chance to read it?
Have a great day.
