We take pride on our lawn. It is hard and quiet time consuming to maintain a beautiful green lawn. It’s upsetting when dogs from the neighborhood think its okay to have their dog relieve on our front lawn and just leave it. It is more upsetting when your peeps accidentally step into it.
We know that many of our neighbors that have dogs pick up after their dogs. But there are still some who think that leaving “poop” on others lawn is okay. Simply irresponsible dog owner.
My mom has some ideas on how to tackle this issue in which we will share on a later post.
For now we handle the yucky situation with our Easy Scoop A Poop.
The Easy Scoop A Poop protects your hands/fingers from the feeling and texture of dog poop, especially if the yucky poop came from an unknown source. Easy Scoop A Poop comes with a Post Industrial Plastic Poop Bags. According to Easy Scoop A Poop, plastic bags are the best, because it keeps the poop contained during the time it is harmful. It doesn’t fall apart. No bacterial and E.coli seeping into water drains.
There is so much to learn about poop bag materials and every state varies. It is another topic we will definitely talk on a later post. For now, Golden Happy to scoop all the yucky neighborhood “poop” on our front yard with Easy Scoop A Poop.

Roooo Sugar I know the feeling – another dog’s pooped right outside our house and noone’s picked it up! Gross. My human always bring poop bags along on our walkies *waggy tail*
Oh Sugar I really dislike inconsiderate neighbors. I hope your dad got his nice boots clean.
hugs madi your bfff
Pooping in a neighbor’s yard and not cleaning it up is NOT COOL. We’re pretty lucky. It’s only happened a few times in our front yard.
I’m sorry that’s been happening to you, luckily not to us. Lately we’ve seen a new trend around here: signs saying “Please do not let your dog urinate in my yard.”
Now I have a male dog.
I’m not sure how I feel about this. I try not to be rude, but everyone knows male dogs like to leave a drop here, a trickle there. Should I drag him off his 3 legs into the street every time? I wonder what others have to say about this?
Inconsiderate neighbors are no fun. Good thing your mom has a way to take care of the problem.
I’m very lucky that we rarely find dog poop in our front yard.
My aunt, however, did have the problem for a while. It went away after she smeared the poop all over the door knob of the offending dog owner. I can’t say I’d do the same thing. But I found it very funny that she took that step.
oh my, with the tread on that boot it would be really hard to clean off the yucky poop… we don’t have any dog walkers on our street, it is to busy for that.
Thankfully we don’t have a lawn to worry about. But we do see random poop in other places when we walk. YUCK
We saw a house that hung a small sign with poop bags attached. It said Please….

Well said, Sugar! I think anyone who leaves poop behind on others’ lawns has got to relearn something!
So sorry you’ve been getting foreign ‘bombs’ on your lawn. This happened to a lady round the corner from us and she politely asked various dog walkers to keep an eye out for the culprit. I guess the word got about and luckily it hasn’t happened since. I hope it stops happening to you too
So far, we’ve never found dog poop in our front yard… but we have found cat poop a few times, though. Nothing we can do to really stop that because there are a few cats that roam free in our neighborhood. We’re not sure if they are feral cats or if they belong to people who just let them roam. We don’t really mind the kitties, but I do worry about their safety. Fortunately, they’ve only pooped in our yard a few times… it’s not an ongoing problem or anything. Still gross, though.
Nothing worse than inconsiderate locals and we have quite a few over here too. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
I can’t wait for the next part :o) I know it’s awful to remove recycled food from a shoe :o) We had a campaign a couple of years ago, where the children from school marked all mines with small flaggs :o)
Luckily we have a fenced yard so no dogs but us poop in it, but we get owl poop sometimes. What is gross is our neighbor does not clean up after their own dog in their own yard. He poops close to the fence between our yards and it STINKS when we are mowing our lawn. How do you tell someone, when it is their own yard, that they need to clean up!

can’t say we have any issues with dogs – but out neighbors cat is a whole other story!
As I think back about 40 years and recall how my Mom dealt with the irresponsible neighbors across the street, I laugh until my side’s hurt. After tolerating their lazy irresponsibility for about 5 years, Mom decided enough was enough. She went out to the back yard, got my pooper scooper, left it hidden behind the bushes next to our front porch, and waited for the offending dog to be sent across the street to our lawn to do its “business”. We didn’t have to wait for long, either….Mom made a mental note of exactly where the poop was and waited for the perfect opportunity. A few minutes later the owners all left the house together. While I watched for signs of their return, Mom scooped the poop, carried it across the street and up to their front door. She dropped it right in front of the door and calmly walked back to our house, put the scooper in the back yard, and we went back in the house. About an hour later, the neighbors returned home. The son — who was about 15 at the time — went full speed up the front walk and stepped right in the pile and dragged it in the house. Next thing Mom and I heard was a long string of “expletives”. But from that day forward, the dog stayed on its own lawn to do its business. Whether they ever cleaned up after him or not, I don’t know because we never saw them doing so.
Great post! Stepping in poop is the worst!
Oh boy I will have to get creative…I’m sure I will think of something. Everyone in our neighborhood is pretty good about cleaning up except for when the little kids walk the dogs, they never pick up. We think the parents figure no one will complain to a kid, but Mom is going to start yelling at those kids because we are sick of it!
Great post… sad to say so many DON’T scoop their poop!
Yup, we have people who let their dogs use our lawn for their business. It’s frustrating and of course we say something if we see them, but we don’t always see them.
We are pretty lucky – we live on a very steep hill that is a dead end, so the only folks that walk down our street are the ones that live here. In the almost 3 years we’ve lived here, I’ve only found random poop in our yard once. We do see it in other yards that are more out in the neighborhood though. But I’ve yet to catch anyone in the act of leaving it behind. So rude!
nothing worse than stepping in that poop
There is nothing worse than stepping in poop and tracking it into your house. YUK!
Love ya lots♥

We have this trouble from our neighbor. His dad says it isn’t a big deal cuz his poops are small. Butt we don’t poop in the front yard! Mom thinks that it is not Benson’s fault but we should thump his dad in the head.

So sorry this is a problem you have to encounter! You are not alone, but we are all greateful to your wonderful followers for being so responsible! Picking up after your dog poops is ALWAYS the right thing to do!!!!
Oh, we see all kinds of random doggie poops on our walkies!! Sometimes Ma picks it up too (if it’s not too soft….)
I hates it when peeps don’t pick up the poops!!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Your neighbor’s irresponsibility would make me nuts. I would set a “nanny” cam and present them with the tape.
Like you, most of our neighbors are great. But there is one particular neighbor who is not. He thinks that because his dogs are little and their poops are little that it is okay. Maybe I should buy him the Easy Scoop A Poop.
