My Golden Outdoor Activities have cut down due to daylight getting shorter and the weather getting colder. I’ve been doing lots of indoor walking in pet stores, dog friendly garden centers and malls. I’m a Senior Dog that got lots of energy and enjoys fun activities. My mom has been preparing for winter activities that will manage my energy and keep me entertain.
Swimming is my Golden Favorite activity and it has been beneficial for my senior health.
My mom found another k9 swimming facility, larger than Splash Dog (where I typically go for my monthly swim). However, it is located in WI which means we have to travel ~1 1/2 (3hrs travel time back n forth). Well, my peeps will do anything for ME.
Last Sunday, we traveled to WI. We are about 45 minutes from the IL/WI state line. I Golden LOVE road trip and of course had to take a break at a Cracker Barrel. If you follow Golden Woofs on Instagram and FB, you’ve seen my photo. When I arrived at the facility, Think Pawsitive, my Golden Tail kept on wagging.
Can you tell from the photo above I was a bit Golden Mischievous? I kept on Woof Woof to throw my toy in the water but mom put a temporary halt on my swim. Instead of using the ramp, I kept on jumping in. If you follow Golden Woofs on Instgram and FB you’ve seen my 11 seconds swim jump video. Well, the pool is set-up like a dock diving stage/pool and in my younger years I have participated in several events. I compromised with my mom to do several jumps and obliged to use the ramp. She caught one of my swim jumps in her camera and created the video below. You get to see me jump backwards and jump in slow motion …

Can you tell I’m a bit overly Golden Excited.
Think Pawsitive K9 Splash is definitely going to be on my activities to do next month and will share more about the facility/pool.
I had Lots of Golden FUN, without a doubt the drive is worth it.
Would you travel miles for a K9 fitness?
I am joining FitDog Friday Hop.
Lots of Golden L♥VE n Woofs

We are always thrilled to see your pictures, but seeing you LIVE in video…especially SLO-MO is totally awesome! We wish you could come over and play at our house…we can swim all year…our pool is 16×20! Xo Chloe and LadyBug
Nice water entry Sugar!
Love the jumping Sugar. Great stuff for FitDog Friday.
You are one Fit Dog!
That is a great video! Honestly I didn’t recognize you from the photo at all!
Wow! That looks like so much fun! I wonder if we have any swim places here. Rocco’s been swimming in friends’ pools a few times and he loves the water!
Your pals,
Diane and Rocco
What a fun place! I bet you were super tired after that Sug!
We let the boys jump into out pool in the summer….but sadly they are swim less in the winter.
Wish I could get Scooter to Dock Dive. He’ll go into water off a steady slope but as soon as there are steps or a bank or a drop he doesn’t want to know. Have lifted him into our pool a couple of times for a swim session but he’s not happy. Looks like Sugars getting a great workout though. Happy FitDogging!!
Great Doggie, Sugar! Are you sure you are a “golden” Golden because you sure jump like you are a young pup! You must love jumping and swimming because you look like you are having TONS of fun! So happy for you that your mom and dad found this great place for you to exercise during the cold winters.

Looks like lots of fun. We are a bit scared of pools, but we will have some shots in the pool in the coming weeks, Bailie does pretty well with what Mom set her up to do for core work. I think if we have life vests we would do better.
Oh Sugar I love your video. Looks like fun

This place sounds like so much fun! I’ll have to see if they have anything like it around here! We’d definitely drive for a place like this!
Love the video Sugar and love seeing you have so much fun. Nice one. Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly
What a fun time! You have some pretty grreat peeps.
Wow…driving 3 1/2 hours just so you can go swimming? You ARE one lucky dog.
You look like a young pup having a good time. You have pawsome pawrents.
How fun! I got Maya to dive into a pool a couple of times, but she must have decided she didn’t like it because now she crawls carefully into a pool.
Hi Y’all!
Fantastic entry, Sugar! You go girl!
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Oh I wish I would of know you were visiting WI. That place is just around the corner from my work. I haven’t been there yet but my co worker takes her rottie there for swimming. She loves the facility. Looks like you did too.
OMD!!! That looks like so much funs Sugar!! And lookie at you!!! Wows, that is one pawsome jump!!
Yups, I thinks you should put that on your schedule all the time!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Excellent Sugar- how fun!
Awesome video! You sure are having fun, Sugar. Sheba is so jealous. Maybe if we travel a little further we can find a pool for dogs around here!
Looks like great fun for you, Sugar! Callie and Shadow have never been afraid of water, but they prefer being “land-lubbers”. Probably because we don’t have any place around here where they could learn to enjoy swimming.
Your Mom is getting better and better with all the video and photo editing — practice is making perfect!! Kudos to her!!!
