Salmon is a favorite meal in my household. My mom always sets aside a salmon for me and mixes it with my regular kibble. She typically bakes it and seasons it with coconut oil and turmeric.
Salmon is a good source of omega 3 fatty acids which helps your dog have a healthy shiny coat. It is a PAWsome way to add protein to your dog’s diet. Being an active Senior, a Salmon protein surely provides me a Golden Boost of energy. Also, Salmon is known to assist with brain health and help regulate immune system. Salmon can reduce inflammation and help with joint mobility, extra benefits for a Senior Dog like ME.
A PAWsome alternative to a homemade Salmon treat is Halo’s Liv-a-Littles Freeze Dried 100% Wild Salmon (the main and only ingredient). A treat made by Halo that is for both dogs and cats.
The freeze dried salmon scent is very enticing and I always Woof Woof for more.
The mini-size varies and makes it easy for chewing.
