Behind me is the Willis Tower (known to the Chicagoans as Sears Tower).
The Willis Tower is the one of the tallest buildings in the world and the tallest building in America. The SkyDeck/The Ledge located on the 103rd floor is one of the most popular tourist destination in Chicago. On a clear day from the Skydeck, you can see four states: Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan.
Today is the SkyRise Chicago Tower Up benefiting RIC (Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago). My mom is participating and climbing 2,109 steps. Many that are climbing have experienced an illness/injury and have gone through intensive rehabilitation. My mom can relate from an injury she experienced 15 years ago. It was a long recovery and she’s very thankful. I’m Golden Happy to have been an influential part of her rehabilitation years.
I am her stair climbing partner. If you have not seen our stair exercise video, click here.
This is not my mom’s first stair climb event,
she has climbed the John Hancock many times, 94 floors and 1,632 steps.
I wish my mom Lots of Golden Luck today climbing Willis Tower Skydeck,
103 floors and 2,109 steps.
Willis Towers’s The Ledge on the SkyDeck is a must see/try when visiting Chicago.
Lots of Golden L♥VE n Woofs

Dachshund Daddy went to the Sears Tower several times when it was still called the Sears Tower.
Loved your Vimeo video and your purple boots!
I love climbing stairs. There are many trails here in Switzerland that have lots of stairs and I love running up. Unfortunately, I cannot run down because it’s bad for my long back. I always get carried down.
Those pictures are just terrific. We sure wish both you Sugar and your Mom lots of luck on your walk up all those steps. Makes us tired just hearing about it. Have a fun day.
Good luck guys. Climbing all those stairs is no small feat!

Good luck to your mom, that is just amazing! When my mom was in Georgia she went to Amicalola Falls State Park were she climbed 607 to the top of the falls and thought that was difficult!
Looking very noble Sugar. Have a serene Sunday.
Best wishes Molly
Good luck! That’s a lot of steps! When I was younger, we used to race the elevator in our building using the stairs but that was only 10 stories or so.
WOW! That’s a heckuva lot of steps to climb! Best of luck, Sugar’s Mom!! I had a hard enough time climbing the steps inside the Statue of Liberty 20 years ago — I wouldn’t even consider trying it now!
Your Mom is amazing, Sugar! And I know it was all because of your excellent training.
Holy cow Sugar! I am so impressed with your mom. That is quite a feat! The fact that she has done this before is even more impressive. Wishing her luck. That is one tall building. I took the elevator when I was there. 🙂
You are looking so regal with that building in the background……it is like you are saying “I can concur anything”
