XXXOOO Bella & Roxy
We are just bummed that cat bro Bert is on a special diet because he is the only one in the family that is a bit chubby. It would be perfect food for him, but he can’t try it. Good post 🙂
Morning Sugar….my mom watches my kibble intake like a hawk. Actually I think she counts each piece.
So thanks to mom I am not overweight….but if it was up to me I would be a kitty blimp. I have an internal clock REALLY at exactly the correct time of day for my two meals I awake from a sound sleep to remind mom
Hugs madi your bfff
the big problem we have found with weight loss food food is trying to find one that is grain free and doesn’t have chicken in it – and you know – we always read the ingredients and fat content and a lot of the diet food has more crude fat in it then regular dog food – you gotta do your research for sure.
Are you familiar with the size of a can of Fancy Feast? No, well it is NOT big. Each time Mom opens a can she divides it into 6 itty bitty servings. I get one of those parts in the morning w 3 pieces (not really I get more) and I get another part at supper. Just before bed time I get about 1/4 cup of kibble to get me through the night…sighing Madi
WE should get some of that…. fur our MOM.
Now Sugar, you know Ma will not allow me to get overweight…even with all my “begging” for treats. I am glad you are in fine shape too, especially because a lot of senior dogs tend to be a bit chunky. It is the best thing for our overall health to remain in good weight. It is a shame so many have become overweight so I am glad that Hills has created this food to help them.

Luckily we are OK so no worries here. Have a marvellous Monday Sugar.
Best wishes Molly
Hi Sugar, we sure wanna be in on this. YOu know that we adopted Berts Momma. They just used her for breeding and never gave her exercise or love (We did not know that or we would have tried to get her sooner.
She is 10 years old and weighs as much as Bert does. 82 pounds. But she is a lot smaller than Bert and should only weigh 60 pounds at the most. So we have been looking for a good diet food and were excited to read about Hills today in your blog. So here is our info for the contest.
Goldilocks is Berts Momma
She is 10 years old
She weighs 80 pounds
our email is wwwdot jamiesyra at msn dot com
And Vickie is our human.
Thanks Hills for considering us. And thanks Sugar for letting us know about it.
I’m with Frankie&Ernie, my mom should try it. I fortunately lost some lbs, but that’s really not easy. I’m glad this food can help us to manage our weight. Have a great monday!
Scylla the cat needs to lose weight she is 6 years old and weighs around 15.5 lbs. Sandra Alawine alasandra(at)cableone(dot)net
Usually we have to deal with Boomer and Dottie being UNDERweight because they are so active. But, if they ever need to lose a bit I’ll keep this in mind!
Great information.
Geez, I feel bad saying Bentley could lose weigh with everyone else having fit felines and dapper dogs! Sigh…he could lose a bit though, so I am entering. You know he is a Basset Hound weighing in at 57 lbs.

Oops He is six years old!
Before marrying Aaron my pups were constantly fat – after I moved in with him they all turned slim – we blame it all on my Mom…
BOL!

Great post Sugar! Ash has been on a diet and has lost most of her weight and us other two aren’t overweight! At least that is what our mom tells us!
Great post, we all need to be weight conscious. I was told I’m at a good weight but need to maintain it
My dog and two cats are all 11 years old and are all overweight by at least 5-10 pounds each. They do get exercise but then want to eat a lot when they come in. A new food would definitely help.
Oh come on, it’s all muscle

I ALWAYS want more food! But the vet said I absolutely do not need more kibble or else I will turn into a golden fatty! So I get lots of veggie treats instead.
Our vet said that BJ is fine in the weight department. I check and feel his ribs to keep on top of his weight. However, the first dog i fostered was very over weight. It was a challenge for me to keep him on his diet. I had to ignore his pleading eyes. In spite of the freezing weather I took him for very long walks. In the time that I had him, he lost a little weight. He has a lot more to go which is now the responsibility of his new furever family.
Thanks for raising awareness about pet obesity – our pet peeve if you know what I mean.
My pet can benefit from Hill’s® Prescription Diet® Metabolic Advanced Weight Solution because she’s frisky but we don’t have all the time in the world to play with her but we sure give her treats.
What is your pet: cat
Pet’s age: 2
Pet’s current weight or close guess: 20 lbs?

My dog Sissy could use this because last time we went to the vet (a few weeks ago), he said she needed to lose a little bit of weight. She is 7 years old and I got her as a rescue dog when she was an adult. My email address is tigger1030@hotmail.com
My Kyoko is a Treeing Walker Coonhound who is 4-5 years old. She was just at the vet this past week and weighs 74.8 pounds and should be 10-15 pounds lighter. She’s healthy other than the extra weight.

We have one chunky monkey basset hound out of four. So that is not to bad. Our Amiee is a basset hound that is 5 years old and a short hound in length. She currently takes a thyroid pill that has helped shed a few pounds but she is just a big girl. She weighs in 62 pounds and gets only 1 cup of light Science Diet dog food twice a day. She does not always eat it all either. We hope with Spring/summer coming we will shed a few pounds with walks, but we also have a down fall with treats. 🙁 Thank you for offering this giveaway.

If people started viewing playtime as love time too, there might be less of an overweight issue. Play time is also great bonding and relationship building time 🙂
