Does your dog take supplements?
Sugar has been taking supplements since she was 7 years old. It is known that many large dogs develop arthritis as they age. Joint pain is one of the side effects of arthritis, main reason why Sugar takes supplements with Glucosamine and Chondroitin.
Sugar is a senior dog that continues to be active. She’s in good health and has no signs of arthritis. You don’t have to be an old dog or suffer from arthritis to start taking supplements with Glucosamine and Chondroitin.
Glucosamine and Chondroitin
Glucosamine is a common ingredient in supplements that help heal joints, improve functionality and relieve inflammation. When Chondroitin is paired with Glucosamine it produces more beneficial effects on your dog’s joints.
4 Benefits of Glucosamine
1) Contains an anti-inflammatory effect which helps reduce dog’s pain
2) Helps restore joint health naturally and increase mobility.
3) Improves dog joint’s lubrication.
4) Reduces pain and can eliminate taking pain medication.
For the past 5 years, I’m particular to 2 brands that I alternate. I’m very cautious in trying a new brand. I always do my research as a good dog parent to Sugar.
For the past months, Sugar has been taking NuJoint Plus by NuVet Labs.

Sugar gives her Golden approval for NuJoint Plus.
Sugar is definitely benefiting from taking supplements with Glucosamine and Chrondroitin. Sugar, 12 years old, remains playful, loves to go for a long walk, enjoys running and climbing hills/stairs.

Have been considering it for Roxy because of her wonky leg. The vet said she could develop arthritis later, but as she’s only three, haven’t done anything yet.
XXXOOO Bella & Roxy
Join supplements are a consideration for Earl especially as he ages later on in life as he is so active in competitive agility at least twice a month!

Lots of Woofs from Earl and I at Earls World!
Teach has taken NuVet Plus since he was a puppy. I have wondered about their joint supplement so thanks for sharing this!!
GREAT! The NuJoint Plus contains Glucosamine, Chondroitin n MSM. It will be good for Teach especially he is active. NuVet recommends both products to be taken together.
You are a very healthy girrrrrrl, Sugar.
I need to start thinking about a joint supplement for Sheba, before she starts showing any signs of pain or lameness, I should of started her off as a puppy really looking back at it.
Sheba.
You can start proving joint supplements at a young age. Give NuJoint Plus a try.
it is always a good idea to be proactive and stop problems before they start
Boomer and Dottie both take a glucosamine/chondroitin supplement as well as fish oil and I can tell that they both help!
I just went to the sight to check it out and noticed that the dosing is for 3 pills a day for a dog Boomer and Dottie’s size and probably Sugar too. It seems like you’d go through a bottle pretty fast. What do you think?
3 tablets is the recommended dosage for 50-100lbs (especially needed when your dog has arthritis). I provide Sugar 1 tablet, 2 when she does lots of running.
Sugar, you beat me by two days! I have a post on this with my sister Katie on Monday! NuVet is working so well for her! We are loving it too, but have seen big results with Katie.
Gret review Sugar, this look like a wonderful product!
Smileys!

We’ll be checking this out, Sugar. We’re on acti-flex 4000 now but mom is always searching for the perfect supplements for us.
Love ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly
Sugar you are a golden delightful friend too
Hugs madi your bfff
I would be willing try any supplement that Sugar is taking, because I have never seen a more active and healthy senior dog!
We are happy with what we are using now for Sheba (Natural Stride) but if it ever stops working as well, we will keep this one in mind.
Golden Thanks 🙂 Yes, Sugar takes joint supplements and its her “secret” of being young and active.
Tucker also took glucosamine as he aged. It did seem to alleviate some of his joint discomfort. I wonder if I should begin to give it to Bentley. What do you think?
I would start Bentley with joint supplements. Age does not matter. We totally agree with Reilly, having a proactive approach with your dog’s health.
We agree with Reilly the proactive approach is best. Sugar you are a great example of a fit senior dog.
Have a super Saturday.
Best wishes Molly
Tynan started to take glucosamine supplements when he was six; the vet felt arthritis developing in his hips. But Tynan never showed any signs, for five more years, even while being treated for his first cancer. I was surprised when my vet said young active dogs can take glucosamine too. Well, I’ll let Brychwyn tell you about it:
Great giveaway! Thank you.
Shiner started taking something later in life, but I think it’s really helped her.
I take another brand of this in a soft chew form with all the good stuffs this one has! Ma has really noticed that I don’t limp or seem to ache at all anymore! I’ve never tried this brand, it sounds great!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
I’d love to enter!

What a great giveaway! Thank you!
Hi! We just recently started talking to our vet about giving Katie this type of supplement. However, it is really hard to get Katie to take a pill, she absolutely refuses. She is too smart and will eat the cheese or peanut butter but spit the pill right back out! A complete departure from our Lab who would take any pill offered!
Thanks for the great giveaway – I definitely want to enter. These would be great for my senior Treeing Walker Coonhound, Suki. She turned 13 last month and is really starting to feel her age.
I would like to participate in this giveaway. My old boy Kota really could use the this for his joints
I’d like to participate in the giveaway. My girl takes a couple of joint supps, and I am always looking to make things better for her.
We haven’t tried this for Bear & Scooter yet but would like to. We are also very cautious about the products we use, but I know a breeder who made her own dog food and fed this supplement to her dogs too.
Please enter us in the giveaway. Thank you!
I would like to participate in the giveaway. I think this would be a great product to try for my 12 year bc mix, Fanny. Thank you for the chance- great giveaway!
I would like to enter this giveaway.
I most definitely want to participate in this giveaway. I have a senior Treeing Walker Coonhound, Suki, who turned 13 years old and could really use a product like this.
I want to enter this giveaway – this product would be great for my senior Treeing Walker Coonhound, Suki, who is starting to feel her age in her joints. My Kyoko might get benefits from it, too. She is 4-5 years old. She was almost starved to death before I adopted her, and while she’s gained the weight she needed (plus more) I have noticed that her joints actually creak at times. She doesn’t have any problems getting around, but I suspect she will in time.
i want to enter this giveaway b/c my oldest dog is 12.5 and has some issues….w/ arthritis
