Ticks are very tiny creatures called parasites, which feed on the blood of an animals such as a dog. Ticks are arachnids. Brown dog tick and American dog tick are the most common ticks that affect dogs.
Did you know?
Ticks are most active from Spring through Fall.
Ticks have no wings, don’t fly or jump but crawl up.
Even though ticks are very tiny, they are visible to the naked eye.
Protect your dog from these tiny terrible ticks. Make sure to regularly check your dog especially if you live in a warm climate and wooded area.

Ticks are bad news 🙁
We are very aware of them, especially when walking in long grass! That is where our tick picker comes in! >:)

We do a tick check every time we come in from being in the woods or high grass. We are ever vigilant to those little suckers.

Ticks are just nasty. Although we apparently have ticks where we live, we fortunately haven’t seen any. And I get this stuff that keeps them away…
we hate those ticks. We normally live in a tick-free area but sometimes they can even happen here. Mom’s aunt became early retired after getting ESME from a tick bite. It’s important to be prevented for cats, dogs and their humans. Thanks for a very important post, Sugar. Have a good saturday
Boo for ticks! They are the nastiest little things. We don’t like those little blood suckers one iota!!
Ick!! Ticks are just horrible!!

Hailey had a tick once, that we removed. We hope she doesn’t ever get any more. Where we live can be a very tick-y.
I’ve never had a tick! I do take the monthly meds to keep them away, so that might be why.
Great info Sugar!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
We are so glad we have our tick meds because they are so very hard to find in our thick coats. We try to avoid all brush areas and tall grass. But those pests are everywhere.
Thanks for all the great info.
Woos – Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
Luckily no ticks here but we care always careful out in the countryside. Have a super Saturday.
Best wishes Molly
Sugar….
We haven’t got ticks around here, but Rose is well protected, anyway!! ;op

HUGS MADI YOUR BFFF
They are such nasty little bugs, and we see them way too much around here. We have some plans to fight them off this year the all natural way, and hope it works!
Ticks are so nasty! Mom usually sees them crawling over our fur before the tick repellent even has a chance to get them. Luckily a huge number usually die when the weather gets too hot, but there area still plenty left.
Thankfully, I’ve never found a tick on any of my pets. I seem to recall my dad finding one on one of his beagles many years ago though. He took a match to it to kill it.
Thanks for the great infographic. Ticks are gross!
One word-Yuck!
They are disgusting.
Thanks for the great information Sugar! Dad is going to check me over for ticks tonight after visiting my Nebraska cousins, even though I’ve been treated. Love Dolly
Great infographic about ticks on dogs, thank you!
