We just went on an 11 day road trip and we had Lots of Golden FUN!
Sad to report that we’ve seen lots of un-scooped poop.
Why is it that dog owners don’t pick-up? Here are 3 Reasons Why?
1) Many dog owners believe that since they are just visiting its okay to leave their dog poop.
2) We stayed in luxury Starwood hotels where its dog-friendly and they provide a specific poop area + bags too. Still there’s always that irresponsible dog owner that just don’t pick up. It was dark and almost stepped on a poop.
It is because of these irresponsible dog owners that Hotels change their rules about being dog-friendly. Don’t ruin the great dog friendly amenities and privileges for responsible dog owners.
3) Many believe that there is a POOP Fairy, realistically …
There is NO Traveling POOP Fairy.

Blog Hop is open till Friday 5/23. #ScoopThatPoop
Wonderful post! We believing in scooping!
Our Mommy was so thrilled to meet you and your Mom at BlogPaws. It was a treat!
XOXO
Sad, but true. Unfortunatly, I’ve seen locals complain about the problem and then leave gifts on my lawn, so people aren’t always practicing what they know is an issue.
I find it frustrating, especially about the pet friendly areas. I appreciate being able to take my dog places and it is irratating when others ruin it for the rest of us who do act responsibly.
We’re with you 100%, Sugar! I know we don’t like stepping in it.
🙂
We agree…..SCOOP THAT POOP! Mom hates when other don’t do it!!!!

Love the infographic! Glad you guys had a safe trip BlogPaws and back! Sounds like it was lots of fun!
I cannot believe that even at a dog-friendly hotel owners do not Scoop That Poop! That is totally uncalled for and ruins the opportunity for other owners to travel with their dogs. People need to be responsible, Sugar. I don’t know how many times we need to tell them! (So sorry I could not join this month…so busy and backlogged…I will be back in full Scooper Oz mode next month! I promise!)

Sugar, I’m always angry when I see people who ignore the leftovers of their dogs at hotels and public places. It’s great that so much hotels, restaurants and even casinos are more pet friendly and this people are ungrateful and act so toughtlessly. Have a golden monday :o)
I took Chester and Gretel out to potty one of the conference mornings and stepped right into a big pile of poop. Yuck…and I hadn’t even had my coffee yet! It was hiding in the longer grass so I didn’t see it 🙁 I sure hope it wasn’t someone from the conference. However, I was talking to another conference attendee one time and she had no intention of picking up her dog poop. I want to think it’s because were talking and she didn’t see it but I made sure she saw me pick it up for her.
So bad when people don’t bother as it is not nice for everyone. Have a marvellous Monday Sugar.
Best wishes Molly
Some dog parents are really irresponsible, aren’t they Sugar.I wish there were more fines issued for this as it spoils routes for other people. Thanks for spreading the word about the importance of cleaning up after your pup! x
Hey Sugar, quick question. How long is this hop open through the week? Just one day? I would like to link up, but not sure when I can.
Have a great day!

They must scoop up their common sense and toss it out instead!
Good points, Sugar. Maybe I will be able to join again next month. Too much going on this month. We have to agree that owners are the ones that ruin it for everyone with unruly dogs and leaving poop around. It is sad for the rest of us.
Also moms are not happy when it’s on their shoe

I was really surprised to see several piles of poop at BlogPaws. I thought to myself, “Surely, that is not from one of our members’ dogs.” I’m sure that it wasn’t! There is not much nastier that an ignored pile of poop. It is a good thing babies and toddlers wear diapers or I suppose these same folks would leave that where it dropped too!
There is only one reason people don’t scoop their dog’s poop. They feel it is disgusting and don’t want to smell it or touch it even with a bag or scooper.
But if you want to have a dog as a pet it goes with the territory.
Own a pet? then-
Scoop their poop!
Hi friends, I’m still so shocked that folks do not pick up after their dog-whether it is in their neighborhood or traveling. Just plain rude if you ask me. I always carry a bag or two when we walk. I think many people think that if there is a parking strip with lawn, it is o..k. to leave behind the stuff.
Thanks for this reminder.

Sugar….
I’m back!! Did you miss me?! 😉
I know!! Hardly anybody cleans up after their canines these days!! Or so it seems!! You own a canine. Be responsible!! How hard is that?! ;op
Love you later, Raelyn and Rose
I always clean up after my boys. It’s so gross to go on a walk on a lovely trail and come across dog poop.
Great post Sugar, all people should scoop their poop.
I always try to be over prepared with bags and offer them to other dog owners whenever I see them hesitate.
We are pretty sure its an urban thing. We live in an area that its the law to pick it up but most people live in areas where they don’t have to walk their dog or pick up their poop so they just assume its that way every where. Ignorance is bliss I guess. Love Dolly
We greatly appreciate when hotels and pet-friendly places provide a poop bag station for owners to use and when they keep it well stocked. We’ve started picking up some piles of poop that aren’t from this canine family when we are out, because we really want the amenities to stay pet-friendly.
How sad that you almost stepped in poop there. The people probably just assume that hotel staff will take care of it for them.
