Full Moon Pet Natural Dog Treats


Recently, we were introduced to Full Moon, manufacturer of kitchen-crafted natural dog treats. Nowadays, many pet parents are very particular and concerned about where dog treats are made. We are too. Happy to know that Full Moon is Made in the USA. Also, Full Moon supports and works with local farmers that are passionate in raising quality meats. It’s good to know that they source their turkey meat in the state of Illinois, where we live.

Full Moon uses 100% Human Grade ingredients. What does it mean? Full moon uses familiar ingredients used by humans in their food. There are no flavor enhancers added. Full Moon treats are all produced with meticulous quality in USDA inspected/FDA approved kitchens that are suitable for human food production.

Full Moon provided Sugar their Chicken Jerky to try, one of their products from Natural Cuts. Honestly, due to all the contaminations and recalls, Sugar hardly eats jerky treats. As a pet parent, I am particular on what brand to try and I always double check the ingredients. Actually, Full Moon was created by Ryan Perdue in 2011 due to the frustration of buying treats with cheap fillers and made in China.

Since this is the first time Sugar is tasting Full Moon Chicken Jerky Natural Cuts, I only gave her a little piece. It is recommended on the packaging for Sugar’s weight to have 2-3 piece a day. It’s a bit too much especially the jerky cuts vary in sizes. I used my best judgment on how much to feed Sugar. I want to make sure she will not have any reactions with the ingredients used. The chicken jerky cuts are crisp enough that you can easily break into small pieces.

    Those look great Sugar!! Ma gives me Wellness Purebites jerky (made in the usa) because it’s always fresh and easy to tear. These look good too! I thinks I’ll have Ma check them out

    I have never heard of this company, but they sound great! I like that you can easily break up the pieces, since we often share treats around here to keep everyone slim and healthy! My dogs would love to try the chicken jerky treats since they don’t get to try many since I’m very particular about them!

    Prince and Nadie would be happy with any of the jerky treats. Pork, Chicken or Turkey because they haven’t had any for quite some time. Like you I have pretty much cut it out unless I’m very sure they are made with quality sourced ingredients.

    I have five rescued Treeing Walker Coonhounds who will eat just about anything. That being said, though, they DO have things they like better than others and I think they’d really like the chicken and bacon treats.

    I had not heard about Full Moon products yet but they sound like a great company that care about quality ingredients for our pets. I know my aussie would love the chicken jerky because chicken is his favorite treat in general. Well, unless he gets an ice cream treat when we go to town. 🙂
