Chicago is known for being dog-friendly. We recently shared 5 Summer Favorite Things To Do In Dog-Friendly Chicago. Our favorite Chicago Summer Adventure is going on an architectural Chicago Cruise with your dog via Mercury Cruise.
5 Reasons To Take Your Dog For A Mercury’s Canine Cruise
1) SUNDAY Fun Day with Your Dog
A great and pawfect way to spend Sunday with your dog in the city. Mercury Canine Cruise is available every Sunday of the summer July through September. The cruise is 90 minutes and travels along the Chicago River through Lakefront Harbor. The Mercury Canine Cruise boat is very dog friendly. There are water bowls throughout the deck and a potty bathroom filled with newspaper. The seats are wide enough for your dog to sit or lay down. The tour guide narrator always takes the time to say hello to all the dogs.
2) Learn a unique perspective of Chicago’s impressive skyscrapers, historical buildings, hidden spectacles plus dog-friendly highlights.
3) Socialize and meet other dogs from the city and neighboring suburbs.
4) You and your dog will enjoy the Summer Breeze.
5) An opportunity to take beautiful Photos of Chicago’s Skyline and of course your dog.
After the cruise, continue your exploration and stroll the Riverwalk. Have lunch at dog-friendly O’Briens. If you and your dog are being adventurous, take the taxi boat to Navy Pier. Enjoy the sights and dine at dog-friendly Harry Caray’s Tavern.
You will not regret taking your dog on a Canine Cruise via Mercury Cruise.

I woud love to take the the canine cruise to see Chicago! What an awesome giveaway.
How fun! My Summer is 11 yrs old. We just lost her sister, Storm, to cancer. We will never be the same. We always appreciate every moment we have. Summer is such a loving spirit. She still behaves like a puppy, and is as sassy as she wants to be. She loves children especially. She’s amazing. We hope to meet Sugar. My husband is suspicious of Sugar’s photo’s. He believes that Summer is sneaking out to pose for you! Thanks for a chance!
Oh gosh, I wish we had something like that over in Vancouver! I’ll need to make sure Bain doesn’t see this post 😉
What a wonderful cruise that would be, hope the lucky winner has a great time!
I would love it if we had something like this here in North Florida. It sounds like something you might find in dog friendly St. Augustine. I wonder how I can suggest that idea?
Bucket list adventure for my 14 yo baby!
Ellie loves trips to the city. She especially loves overnight stays at the Westin because there is always water and a treat from the doorman. She would live to take a boat tour!
Congratulations to the winner. I had my fingers crossed. I’m near Chicago, but just can’t afford to take my dogs on this right now. I know they’d love it! Maybe one day.
