Meatballs are easy to make. There are so many different ways to make meatballs. It is extra special when you make it for your beloved dog. It can be served as a treat or an extraordinary meal.
K9 Meatballs by Rachael Ray is Sugar’s favorite.
K9 Meatballs
* signifies substituted Ingredient
1/2 lb ground beef (*ground turkey)
1/2 cup cooked brown rice (*coconut flour)
1 shredded carrot
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
1/2 cup frozen chopped spinach, (*fresh chopped spinach)
2 tbsp chopped flat-leaf parsley
2 tbsp parmigiano-reggiano cheese
1 large egg
2 tbsp ground turmeric
3 tbsp of coconut oil *
Directions: Preheat the oven 400. Grease a muffin pan or baking sheet. In a medium bowl, combine all of the ingredients and mix well. Fill each muffin, or mixture into 10 balls and place on the baking sheet. Bake until cooked through, about 15 minutes. Let cool completely on a rack.
Makes 12 meatballs. Serve it one at a time. Store in the fridge or freezer.
Last weekend, Sugar enjoyed some

With the exception of the celery and parsley, these meatballs sound good enuf for us humans — we don’t like celery or parsley — but maybe, once we get the tummy issues under control, the girls will be able to enjoy them.

Hi Sugar, Thank you and mom so much for posting this. I have shared what a picky eater hunter is and I’m hoping he will love these. Generally, I give him a Gluten free Wellness kibble and add chicken meat or gizzards on it. I would love to mix it up for him, so will get these ingredients tomorrow and give them a try.
