We are joining Remember Me Thursday #LightForPets, remembering those pets who have lost their lives and shed the light to pets in need of homes right now.
Remember Me Thursday, a global awareness campaign, was created by Mike Arms, President of the Helen Woodward Animal Center.
We invite you to be a part of Remember Me Thursday #LightForPets. Light a Candle to “honor the millions of pets who lost their lives without the benefit of a loving home and shine a light on the millions of healthy pets who are still awaiting adoption.”
We popped over to the website and lit a candle too. It is for a very good cause. We have lost so many of our good friends right here in Blogville this year. We lit a candle for them and for all of the dogs and cats who are still waiting in shelters for their forever homes.
Thanks for sharing this important day Sugar! We will be lighting candles and sharing.
I heard about this day at Bently’s blog and I lighted a candle immediately. It’s a wonderful tribute to all those animals to light a candle today. It’s a wonderful photo Sugar and it says so much without words, we only have to look in your eyes…
its very true and very sad

We remember those poor souls every single day.
What a beautiful photograph and the sentiment as well.
We remember, sometimes painfully, everyday the ones that aren’t so lucky.
We are remembering too. ♥

Wonderful awareness post. We lit our candle today too.
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
We lit a candle today for this great cause. They can be such sad memories but I try and remember all the good times.
*and by good times I’m referring to the volunteer work I do for a local shelter. Getting to clean, pet, and walk the dogs every weekend gives me joy, and they seem to enjoy the attention. If I didn’t reflect on the good times I don’t think I’d be able to handle it.
A great way to raise awareness. (Helen Woodward is the shelter I volunteer at. It’s a good place!)
Thank you for sharing this message! We will be lighting a candle on Thursdays too <3
