I have not been looking for functional treats. I never really thought about it but since pugs are prone to certain issues it is a good thing. I would love to let my pugs try these. I have not found them in my local market just yet but they are coming I was told.

These treats sound great. We often give our beagle Cricket hip/joint treats. She doesn’t have any joint issues but is very active and at 10 years old we think it’s a good idea.

Our dogs get whole food treats like pumpkin and yogurt, carrots and other veggies. They also get fish oil on their food once a day, which they consider a treat!

I like to give my girl healthy treats – with benefits. She just had to have her ACL replaced. Her favorite though is her spoonful of pumpkin every morning!
Cool! We haven’t tried functional dog treats, but we are very open and are interested! Treats are great- and if they keep us healthy, then even better! 🙂 I usually get healthy options, but never anything that is specific to certain health aspects (like joint health, bones, etc). Thanks for sharing!
I haven’t used functional dog treats…we mainly use dental ones. However I like the idea of human grade treats for Toby.
