Did you know that nearly 45% of households with pets have one or more germs in their pet bowl. These germs are either E.Coli, salmonella, coliform, staph aureus and yeast/mold. All of these germs can spoil the smell and taste of your pet’s food and water. It can also pose a health risk to your pet.
What is the germiest item in your home?

that’s a pretty cool bowl.
What a great concept! Love the bowl. We haven’t seen much of you lately Sugar. We are thinking you must be really busy…and traveling too. Hope all’s well. xo Jeanne, Chloe and LadyBug
that’s a super idea! we place my bowl always in the dish washer, but after some times there, they look like prehistoric findings. 4 paws for this idea!
What a super great idea! Those new bowls are really neat. We have stainless steel bowls too and Mom puts them all in the dishwasher every time we eat. Our water bowl goes in the dishwasher too……my sissy, Sarah, can’t drink water without having one foot in the bowl. BOL Who wants to drink STINKY FEETS water???
😉
I use stainless steel and ceramic bowls. I only been cleaning them every few days but I think I will every meal now. My pugs have started turning nose up at food they love when in the bowl sometimes. This very morning I was checking a bowl out and could feel saliva from their tongue on bowl I can now see how that can be bad for them and maybe even make them not want their food. I think this bowl is a great concept.
What a great idea. I’m horrible at cleaning the bowls after every meal. They go through the dishwasher at least once a week, but this would help fill the gaps.
Our mom washes our bowls every day… Who would want to eat from a dirty one?
These would be super fur Vacation.
I remember many years ago, with my first corgi, having a dark grey marble bowl. It was great because it was so heavy it didn’t move when Dylan was eating. However, I must confess I wasn’t good about keeping it washed. I just dumped the kibble in each meal. Well, the dark colored bowl got broken one day, and I replaced it with a white ceramic bowl. And, oh my! In short order it was discolored and nasty due to my poor cleaning habits! I really learned a lesson from that and started taking proper care of the bowl. My poor boy, to think what I was making him eat out of!
This is a really important post for everyone to take heed of!
Mom cleans are bowls with scolding hot hot water after every meal
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
I use stainless steel bowls for Dakota and am embarrassed to say I don’t clean after each and every meal.

Best wishes Molly
What a great idea!! I did not realize the bowl was the 4th dirtiest thing in the house, gross!!
That’s a great idea and would definitely be helpful on trips! I wish they told how many refills come in a package. I wash the boys bowls out with warm sudsy water after each meal, but the bowls go in the dishwasher whenever it runs.
What a great revie Sugar!
Hugs

we use stainless bowls and clean every 2 or 3 days
Sounds like a good idea. We have lots of bowls and lots of sizes. Ours all go right in the dishwasher too.
sugar would love to have one. and make my day easier
We have stainless steel bowls – they get washed after every feed. This would be a great idea for traveling though
I’ll raise another guilty hand to say that I don’t clean their bowls everyday 🙁 When I do clean them though I can feel a film left behind from the food. I really feel awful now thinking about those bugs and germs so I’m gonna wash them everyday now!
The bowl is an awesome idea for travelling and messy meals. I think I’m still happy using my sold bowls for kibble but sometimes when they get wet food, a meaty treat or some vegetables I am hesitant about putting it in their bowls because of the mess. The KleanBowl would be great for that!
One of the first reactions I had when reading the post was ‘that’s bad for the environment!’ however I have seen that they are recyclable/compostable, which is awesome. Kinn have thought about their product and their intended consumers well.
What a clever idea! Glad to hear they’re recyclable & compostable. Very cool!
It’s very important to keep those dishes clean. Thanks for sharing this Sugar!
I’d love to try one, but with Monty’s light issues, we can’t use metal bowls, or anything that may reflect light. He gets too distracted and can’t eat. We use plastic dishes and they get washed daily in the dish washer.

Oh wow! This bowl seems super interesting!

We use stainless steel bowls, and will admit that they are not cleaned anywhere near as often as they should be. We could really use this!
We use Bella Bowls 🙂 And they are washed at least weekly, though we should probably be washing them more often.
Hi Y’all!
I have china bowls that my Human puts in the dishwasher after a meal. Don’t tell anyone, especially in the family, but my one set of bowls matches their china. Other humans would never share a meal in our house if they knew that!
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Mr. N has a stainless steel bowl that gets rinsed out after meals and put in the dishwasher periodically.
I use a bowl that is supposed to help with eating too fast. Honesty I don’t clean it often enough!
Wager uses a neater feeder, with stainless steel bowls. Shiloh uses a plastic bowl for water (I hate using plastic, but this is the only bowl he’ll drink out of for some reason). He has the Green interactive pet feeder for food. Everything is washed daily.
We use a water fountain type and need to deep clean it about once a week.
I use a Neater Feeder for my cats and my dog. I also have a couple of stainless steel fountain type water bowls that they share. I clean all of them daily.
Some of my doggies eat in metal bowls and some in plastic, all adjusted to their height. I rinse them after every meal and wash them when they look like they need it.
We use ceramic bowls that are dishwasher safe. I never really thought about germs in relation to the bowls, but we do wash them regularly.
We use metal bowls that we wash regularly, but not enough after reading this!
We use stainless steel bowls and clean them every day to every other day.
What an interesting bowl! We’ll be looking in to our water bowl routine!
We use stainless steel bowls and clean them every day.
