Valentine’s Day the 2nd most celebrated and most popular card/gift giving holiday. Even though Valentine’s Day is not an official holiday, it is celebrated in many countries around the world. Many dog owners celebrate Valentine’s Day with their furry loved ones.
“The National Retail Federation found that Americans will likely spend $18.9 billion on Valentine’s Day, and $703 million of that will go toward gifts for their pets. One in five survey respondents — 21.2 percent, to be exact — said they would include their pets in their Valentine’s Day plans, and planned to spend an average of $5.28 on their furry friends.” from TheWeek.com
Will You Pamper Your Dog This Valentine’s Day?
You don’t have to spend a lot of money to pamper your dog this Valentine’s Day.
Here’s 3 ways to Pamper your Dog This Valentine’s Day
1) Make Homemade Treats: There are many easy dog treat recipes you can make for your dog. Here some Valentine’s treats I made for Sugar:
Crusted Banana Cranberry Heart Frosty
Strawberry Hearts Frosty Treats
Banana Strawberry Hearts Ice Cream with toasted oats and blueberries
He♥rt Shaped Potato Carrot Banana Treats
Strawberries are popular to have this Valentine’s Day. Read our post: Can Dogs Have Strawberries?
2) Give your dog a Massage: Simply rub or use gentle motions on your dog’s body. It will help increases circulation, promote flexibility and alleviate any stress you dog may have. Through massaging, you increase the bond with your dog and a great way to feel for unusual sore spots and bumps.
3) Give your dog a Bath: Opt to wash your dog in a self-dog wash facility. It’s a fun way to bond with your dog. The facility provides all the grooming supplies for your convenience or you can bring your own supplies. Cleaning will be a breeze too.
After beach day, Sugar enjoys a refreshing bath at Dirty Dog Wash, Huntington Beach CA. We always bring our own shampoo and most recently we used Pawganics 2 in 1 Shampoo & Conditioner, Fresh Pomegranate. Sugar always enjoys a refreshing bath.

I’m letting Harley decide on what he wants for Valentines Day this year.
Those treats sound great! Although, my Mila doesn’t really enjoy being pampered. She hates the word “bath” and can’t stand having her nails trimmed. So we skipped that part this year and gave her a nice belly rub and a new toy! She had a great Valentines Day!
