In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, I made a special treats for Sugar.
Nutty Spinach-Apple Berry Bones Dog Treats
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of flour
1 cup of fresh spinach
1 granny smith apple
1/4 cup of Peanut Butter
1/4 blueberries
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
1) In a mixer, blend together the spinach and apple. Add the peanut butter and blueberries; mix until completely combined. To a medium bowl, add the flour then add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Combine until the dough comes together.
2) Transfer the dough to a piece of heavily floured wax paper. Take Note: The dough will be sticky. It is important to flour everything including the cookie cutter. Roll the dough to a 1/4-inch thickness and cut out the treats using a cookie cutter. Re-roll the scraps and cut out more treats. I used a medium bone cookie cutter and made 12 bone dog treats.
3) Transfer the cookies to a baking mat/sheet. Bake it for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown. Treats will be good for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
