Now that my girls are all back on one good-quality food (instead of trying several different premium brands), their digestive issues are settling down. Ducky has IBD, so it’s a matter of management as opposed to “curing” her; but she’s doing much better now that we know how to manage it.
everything in moderation and balance – pretty much the same rules we humans follow 🙂
the measuring cup can help a lot, it’s much better than to use always “a hand full”. we also have a special treat-agreement: i have do to something first before I get one :o)

Being consistent is very important for so many things.

One thing I’m very consistent about is feeding my pets on a regular schedule and making sure to measure their food so they don’t get overweight. I’m very good at exercising my dog every day, but I’m not as good about encouraging my two cats to be active. Because of this, my dog has easily remained fit and lean but my cats, like a lot of indoor cats, tend to gain weight if I don’t carefully manage their food.
We tried one of the Science Diet weight-loss formulas for one of my cats last year and he did lose weight without changing anything else.
These are great tips! I had to cut back on Haley’s food from what the packaging suggests since she’s not quite as active as she used to be. Cutting back just a small amount has helped her maintain her weight.
