The last survey I read states that 91% of Americans own a mobile device, and 50% own a tablet or e-reader. Many of these users are saying good-bye to boring cases, and personalizing their devices with customize cases or skins. Dressing-up devices are on a rise especially if you have a brand logo you want to be associated with or promote. The most popular way to dress your electronic devices is with customized cases or skins.
Customize Your Devices with Skinit
Skinit, a San Diego, CA-based company, is the “industry leader in consumer personalization for electronic devices.” With Skinit online Customizer™ tool, you can make your electronic devices more unique and personal. You can design your own using photos, images, text, symbols and many of Skinit designs to create entirely personalized covers or skins. “Transform your ordinary device and Make it Yours™.”
Did you know? Pets are the third popular image used to customized a device and dogs show more popularity than cats.
I recently won a mini-iPad, and I was provided with a leather case. I often take it out of the leather case. Thus, for identity I decided to have a skin cover. I used my blog logo to create my custom skin.
What is a skin?
A skin is a fun way to update your device overall look. The purpose of a skin is not for the protection but for design. It means you have a separate option to purchase a clear protective case for your device. Skinit offers skins for various devices. The custom skin I received was very easy to install. ( I was too excited to place it on my iPad that I forgot to take photos.) The skin is made of premium quality vinyl material and fits snugly on my mini-iPad. Skinit also provided me a detailed instruction on how to install the skin. How does my skinned min-iPad feel in my the hand? It is smooth, and surprisingly I feel that I have a better grip; making it less likely for me to accidental drop my mini-iPad.
I just got a new iPhone 6. I take my iPhone everywhere, and in the past I’ve dropped my iPhone several times on our walks/adventures. My previous phone was damaged from one of our beach adventures. One reason I decided to customize an iPhone waterproof case. Love the way Skinit printed my logo on the case. I know my iPhone will be protected when we are on the beach. However, the case only allows me to access my home button. (I just need to make sure my iPhone auto-lock is set-up correctly, so I don’t drain my battery.) Recently, I took my phone to the lakefront beach park, and I dropped my phone on the sand. Due to a very sticky protective screen, the sand immediately adhered to it. It was easy to clean-up the sand by using a soft cloth. My iPhone totally stands out on the beach; many beach walkers noticed it.
Ordering both the skin and case at Skinit was a breeze. Skinit ordering system is intuitive. Customizing your phone case is great! 3 Easy Steps 1) Add an image from your computer, Facebook or Instagram. 2) Add text and 3) Preview. Skinit packaged my skin and case nicely, and it was shipped in a timely manner. I had a blast with Skinit’s customization tool, and making my iPad and iPhone unique. Lots of Golden Thanks, Skinit!

i would probably put both my pooches on there!
I think I’d use my favorite photo of Zeus & Lola together……. I miss them so dearly.
I am in need of having a logo for my new blog and for my etsy page made. I’d probably work on creating that logo to be used as a skin if we win!
I just gave my boyfriend a kindle and would like to put a picture of his best friend, his dog kota, on it
It would be wonderful to be able to personalize an i-pad or phone. I agree, having a personalized cover does make it easy to spot if you drop it. I could put a photo of my dog and two cats on the cover.
OMD Sugar, you look so cool talking on your cell phone!
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Remember tomorrow is the Barkers -vs- Slayers soccer game!
I would also use my blog logo to customize my cell phone!
THAT is super cool!! Ma used to have a iphone case with my logo on it but…she dropped her phone and the case did not protect her phone. Smash! She had to get a new phone. But she kept that old case because she LOVES it (because I am on it, of course). We have heard of SkinIt and would love to win and try it! Thanks!
Oz
I would use a picture of my dog, Sookie.
I LOVED your case at Global. I was super jealous because it certainly is gorgeous. I’d probably put our logo or a photo of Luna!
I would use an image of my two dogs.
I would customize it with a picture of my niece and gift it to my sister.
Definitely a picture of Bella, Terra, or Kronos (preferably one of all three if it fit) to keep them with me every day
I would personalize my laptop with a photo of my dogs. The laptop is my choice because it is new.
I think I might use a photo of mt cat (I love him too!) because he is so cute.
I’m undecided! I may do a picture of my dog and cat, or a photo of lilac flowers that I took… Not really sure at the moment. I’d have to think about it.
I would use a picture of my dog, Logan. I have a few pictures of him that are my favorites and I think they would look great 🙂
A PICTURE OF MY LATE-GREAT FUR BABY WHO DIED A YEAR AGO, JACE.
I think I would use a photo of my hubby and I camping somewhere.
I will use my kids photos.
Probably photos of my grand kids… I miss them.
I would choose a photo of my dog using my cat as a pillow because it is adorable. I call it “sleeping with the enemy.” 🙂
