Living with a pet doesn’t mean your home has to smell like a pet too. On a previous post, Make Your Home Guest Ready, we shared some petiquette on how to eliminate pet odors using Febreze products like their fabric refresher. Febreze’s fabric refresher instantly removes odors from fabrics and great to use on your dog beds.

“Dogs can be stinky, but it’s our favorite kind of stinky.”
When it’s time to wash your dog’s bed, Febreze offers a “laundry aid” called In-Wash Odor Eliminator. In-Wash Odor Eliminator is a liquid solution to be used with your detergent to wash your stinky dog’s belongings. It offers to eliminate pet odors – not just mask. It promises to handle the toughest pet smell in just one wash. Also, Febreze In-Wash Odor Eliminator eliminates odor from stinky human stuff too, such as perspiration, cooking oil, grease, motor oil, garden soil and mildew from virtually any washable fabric. I was adopted almost 9 years ago when I was 11 months old. My birthday is Jan. 2.
Thanks for sharing this with us. Need something for all the puppy pee’d o beds.
Neither of my dogs that I have right now are adopted. I lost my rescue girl two years ago. She was the sweetest dog ever. Her original owner died, and while he thought a family member was going to take care of her, they dumped her in a high-kill southern shelter. Luckily, a rescue group saved her and adopted her to me. We had several wonderful years together, and I miss her so much still. I will absolutely rescue again and still firmly believe in rescue first.
Thanks for sharing!
Me and Stanley never stink. We just lose our freshness BOL!
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
My dog Riley was pulled from the pound by the Schnauzer rescue group …. as an older dog he was less likely to be someone’s first choice but he was MY first choice. I specifically wanted an older dog and boy has he been the best birthday gift I ever got myself.
Sugar you have a naturally occurring good scent
Hugs

We adopted Artie about 3 years ago. He is a golden retriever mix that is a ham for the camera and he loves to go on adventures.
I promised my daughter if she passed all of her classes that we would get a dog…. I will admit that in the back of my mind, I didn’t expect I would have to go through with it, but it was exactly the motivation she needed. We went to our local shelter last April and saw an Irish Setter that was adorable and then I saw her run completely up the fence, looked at her papers and found out she was brought there because she was hyper. Adorable but not sure I could handle that type of action 🙂 Then we saw Suzie, our newest member of our family! Our golden is adorable! She’s a bit older, great with kids, and the best dog ever! I will admit that when I was signing the papers and paying the fees, there was a ton of doubt in the back of my head, but she has been a joy in our home.
I never saw this before. Good idea. We have some towels from the puppy park that smell, well, not so sweet 🙂
I will have to look for this at my store. I always have to wash Bentley & Pierre’s bath towel and bedding. This would be wonderful.
Nika was not adopted from a shelter but her two brothers (cats) were adopted. I am always washing blankets for Nika. She uses them when she rides in the car. It would be nice to have something to eliminate the dog odors like Febreze.
Our adopted dog is the greatest animal ever. He loves to sleep under the covers 🙂
My adopted dog is SPOILED. She loves to take long naps on the couch and go swimming when its hot out. She is never without a toy. We have had her since she was a puppy, and she is so beautiful now, I can’t believe nobody wanted her!
Wish I could stick the “dog couch” in the laundry! Sounds like a great product!
our adopted dog is very sweet, she is very patient and kind
Ella is our adopted dog. She is a terrier mix with a big personality 🙂 We are so glad to have her!
Evie is my oldest gal. she is now 14 and i have had her since she was 6 wks old. i was her 3rd parent. apparently no one wanted my sweet gal. she has been the best girl, was pottied trained in abt 2 wks or less and is very smart. from the start she always loved balls, any size. she loved to play soccer and kickball when she was younger but now has some back issues and cant run and play as much. she still will play with balls a little. she has had a very rough 2 yrs with health issues, been hospitalized, etc. she was a joy to my mom, loved to pull my mom down the hallways in her wheelchair and loved to wake her up with kisses. she is great around kids, and other people….although she has become more grouchy with grooming in her later yrs. she is the best and i am hoping that she will live many more yrs b/c i dont know what i would do without my sweet girl. i have 2 other gals but Evie is special.
my adopted dog crosses her paws when she lays down.
Lady Girl is an alert dog. When she senses my husband is going to fall or is falling, she will bark and run to his side.
I could not have got a sweeter better dog. She is such a sweetie and my best friend
I adopted Toby 4 years ago. She potty trained herself in 2 days and she was only 5 weeks old. She is my little genius pup. I have never seen anything like her. Her IQ must be off the map.
I adopted Rex 5 years ago. He was only 5 months old at the time. He’s such a sweetie and he’s my best friend and buddy now! We have a special bond!
I just cannot believe that someone would just dump our little Gidget on the side of the road. Full blood Rat Terrier and the smartest little girl in the world.
My dog is special, because she was abandoned not once, but twice before I adopted her. My neighbors found her wandering the streets when she was a little puppy and thy took her in, got her fixed up, and adopted her, hiring me as their dog walker. About a year later, they started really neglecting her, leaving her tied up outside all the time and never giving her any attention. The only attention she got was from me, and the only reason she was even getting any food was because I was buying it. When Tonya was 2 years old, they moved away all together, leaving her behind. That’s when I adopted her and she has been my dog ever since. She now is 5 years old, knows around 200 tricks, and is paying it forward by spreading the word about shelter dog adoption. She is also working hard to get donations, treats, and toys for her shelter in multiple fundraising events she is involved in. You can visit her YouTube channel (TalentedK9Tonya) for more about her!
Oh, and I entered under the name “Amie” in the giveaway.
I want to try this stuff… I get a lot of stinky pet towels and blankets from the rats’ cage AND sometimes when Shiner has an accident. It takes more than one wash to get the stinky smell away usually.
Shiner would like to share her “something” that she was found in an alley when she was just a wee pup and the rest is history! 🙂
Teutul will be celebrating his 12th birthday on Sunday…
Sophie loves her blankies…
Penny has not grown as large as we thought she would…
My adopted dog is great with children and very sweet. She gets a long well with other animals and loves going for rides in the car.
My adopted dog was my neighbors. They were going on vacation and didn’t have money to board her so they were going to take her to a shelter. I said no I will watch her. They came back after 2 months and came and got the dog. The kids and me were so upset for we got attached to her. They came back the next day and said she won’t eat, drink or play. She only lays there. I went over to their house and she ran over to me and sat right beside me. They told me she wants to be with you. She is your dog. So I took my beagle home and been happy for 5 years now.
My Cane Corso was adopted and while he looks scary to most, he is the most loveable baby ever.
My dog Rocky was adopted 2 years ago and he is the most loveable and playful little guy!!! I love him so much!!
I have three, but my female bully Rose is going blind. She has had eye surgery and now she is on two different medications for her eyes. I am so grateful and honored to have her in our lives. She is cuddly, funny and beautiful.
My rescue dog Avery is the funniest, stinkiest, most loving dog. She loves to snuggle and play with all her toys and she loves to chase the squirrels and birds in the backyard. She will sit outside all day if I let her.
We adopted Zeus 4 years ago. He had been horribly tortured by his previous owners until someone called the local shelter and then picked him up. We knew one of the volunteers and she called us up to tell us about his. We already had 2 adopted dogs but just knew we had to bring Zeus home to us. He looked so lost and sad and walked as if he should apologizing for just being alive. We all showered him with love and hugs and today he is a beautiful black healthy Lab who walks with pride and joy knowing that his just being in the world has brought so much happiness to a family who adores him.
My adopted dog is a quiet, majestic lady, until she barks. It’s not very lady like!
