Sugar had an unexpected tail injury and required an emergency vet visit. From the vet, I learned there’s a lot of blood flow to the tail, so even minor wounds can bleed a lot. Sugar had a bloody tail. To clean the wound, the vet had to shave part of her tail and covered it with a bandage. Sugar is on meds for a couple of days and has a scheduled vet follow-up visit. Aw, I hear tail injuries can be painful too. 🙁 I hope you’re on the mend soon Sugar and that tail starts wagging for joy.
Uh-oh! Tail injuries are the WORST!! It’s so hard to keep them properly bandaged and safe. One trick my rescue friends have found is to use a pool noodle if you have to splint it. Amazing, huh?? I hope you’re able to keep it safe and let it heal so you don’t end up with a cropped tail like me!
