Last June, we shared DOG for DOG’s awesome mission – to feed as many shelter dogs and by having a model/philosophy “You buy one, we give one.” It means when you buy a bag of DOG for DOG food or treats, DOG for DOG gives another equal bag to a dog in need.
DOG for DOG provided dog treats to Sugar. I am helping spread DOG for DOG’s mission, but Golden Woofs only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers.
At DOG for DOG PetSmart launched celebration, Sugar met Rocky Kanaka; founder and president of DOG for DOG.
Sugar loves DOG for DOG all natural and all American made DOGSTREAT. These treats are soft and feature three flavors. Sugar’s favorites are the mini Peanut Butter and Duck flavors. These mini size dog treats are free of wheat, corn, and soy. Pawfect treats for a senior dog like Sugar. DOGSTREAT contains healthy ingredients that include fruits and vegetables.
The DOGSBAR is another favorite treat of Sugar. A nutritious treat to have after our long walks. It comes in two flavors, blueberries, and peanut butter.
DOGSBUTTER is Peanut Butter made for dogs. DOGSBUTTER is much healthier than store-bought peanut butter. It made with natural ingredients such as ginger, coconut, peanuts, and flaxseed. It contains no sugar, no salt, and no hydrogenated oils. DOGSBUTTER is packed full of omega3 antioxidants and Vitamin E. It comes in three varieties: Skin & Coat, Immunity & Digestion and With Flaxseed.
I made one of Sugar’s favorite banana peanut butter dog treats: Frozen Banana Peanut Butter Holes ( a recipe I shared last year).
Ingredients: 1 Banana and 1 tablespoon of Peanut Butter
1. Cut the banana into round pieces (7-9 pieces, depending the size of the banana)
2. Make a small hole in the middle of each round piece
3. Fill each round piece with peanut butter
4. Freeze for about 1-2 hours then serve it

I’m walking dogs for people who are currently unable to, so they don’t have to give them up! One lady broke her leg, another is really sick, and another is unable to give her dog proper exercise at the moment. They are all older people who love their dogs and are happy I am able to help them so they don’t have to lose their dogs.

This holiday season we went to our local county animal shelter and made a donation in honor of our dog, Barry. He is a big lovable goofball. People are so surprised when we tell them we adopted an adult dog from the shelter. Some people seem to shy away from adult dogs in shelter/rescue programs. I love them!
I get food that my dog can’t or won’t eat I give it to our local shelter. There are things that I’ve won that I gave to the local shelter also.

This season I can only afford to care for our dogs. We adopted one dog from a friend who could no longer care for him. We got one from a breeder to keep the first one company. Then got the third from a rescue group. They are our family. We adore them all and make sure we can do what is needed to keep them safe and loved.
I made my yearly donation to the animal shelter I adopted one of my dogs from.
I volunteer at our local shelter but even more so at this time of year. I also bring donations of food.
I help by taking in dogs off the streets. I have a total of five dogs right now. The last dog I took in was almost dead when I took him in. His family just moved off and left him. I named him Red. Red is a big red dog. He is so old that almost all his teeth is gone. Red sat by the road for six months waiting for his family to come back. I would fed him, but he would not let me touch him. He got mange, worms, skin infection, ear infection, eye infection, and he had a limp. Red had large tumors growing off his back legs that would bleed sometimes. After Red finally got so weak that he couldn’t walk, he let me put him in my car for a ride to the vet. Now,two years later,Red is beautiful. I had his tumors removed, and his infection cleared up. His limp went away, and he gain thirty pounds. Red sleeps on a orthopedic dog bed inside my house at night. Red is so loving that I still can’t believe that anybody could drive off and leave him.
