Weeks ago, Hyundai provided us a 2016 Sonata Hybrid Limited to use for Sugar’s weekend adventure. It’s our first time to drive a hybrid car, and it was very interesting. On this post, instead of discussing dog-friendly features of 2016 Sonata Hybrid Limited, I would like to share 5 Reasons: A Hybrid Car Can Benefit A Dog Owner.
Hyundai provided Golden Woofs a 2016 Sonata Hybrid Limited to test drive in exchange for sharing experience about the vehicle. Golden Woofs only shares information we feel is relevant and useful to our readers.
5 Reasons A Hybrid Car Can Benefit A Dog Owner
1. Save On Gas
We drove the 2016 Sonata Hybrid Limited to Dana Point, CA – Whale Festival. We drove it in both city traffic and highway speeds. It was very quiet. If you are a dog owner that drives mostly on city traffic a hybrid car is beneficial. Every time you stop, the engine shuts down and re-starts when you press the gas again; saving you gas. A hybrid car uses less gasoline than a conventional vehicle—there are times it runs solely on the hybrid’s battery, and sometimes on regular fuel power. We drove over 300 miles and the 2016 Sonata Hybrid Limited still had a considerable amount gas.
2. Safe
Hybrid cars are just as safe to drive as any gasoline-powered cars. Every car manufacturer offers different safety features. The 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid earned 5/5 for overall crash protection, along with 5-stars for both frontal-impact and side-impact protection. Of course, it’s your responsibility to keep your dog safe in the car, Buckle Up! Sugar uses Sleepypod Clickit!
3. Cash Back for Helping the Environment
Being green in your choice of car can provide you a tax credit and additional local financial perks. Check your state and department of motor vehicles for more information.
4. Fits Lifestyle and Cost-Effective
It is interesting to find out that there are different types of hybrid vehicles; hybrid mid-size cars to hybrid sport-utility. 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid provides cost-effective luxury driving experience.
5. Less Maintenance
According to Edmunds, “Most hybrid cars do not require any additional regular maintenance on the hybrid-specific components.” WOW! Hyundai offers a Lifetime Hybrid Battery Warranty.
“Expanding Hyundai Assurance to include Lifetime Battery Replacement Guarantee was another opportunity for us to demonstrate our confidence in the durability of our product, and pass that peace-of-mind on to our owners.”
Michael O’Brien, Hyundai’s Vice President of Corporate and Product Planning
A hybrid car will definitely save you money. The money you save can be used for your dog’s pet care health plan. Could a hybrid car be right for you and your furry friend?
it’s a super car and my momma always gets wet eyes when she remembers her old hyundai… she said she always would buy one again… and to save on gas is a very impawtant argument in europe :o)
That’s a very nice looking car and a lot of good reasons for having one. I’ve never driven one before.
Hope you guys had a great Easter
Oh Sugar, that was such a good review. Sounds like a great car. We have a regular Hyundai and it is a great car. You all have a wonderful day. Good to see you Sugar.
I like that hybrid cars benefit our environment by using an alternate power source. The very first car I ever bought myself was a Hyundai, and it was the best car! I had that car for over 8 years and drove it all over the place including frequent trips up to the mountains for ski weekends. I love it. After 8 years I gave it to my Dad who later gave it to my sister’s boyfriend! I never had a single problem with that car. I’m sure their Hybrid vehicle is just as terrific.

Nice car and really like the mileage achieved by the Hybrid. Cool styling and spacious inside. I am going to check it out.
Oh Sugar we are planning to buy a hybrid car this year. Yes , there are so many choices now and its hard to decide. Hyundai is on our top 5. Love the lifetime warranty of the battery. You’re such a great model Sugar. Love you Sydney
Very interesting – one of my dog walking clients drives a hybrid car, and it’s always fun seeing it charge in the garage 🙂 I think it’s a wonderful way of being more gentle on the environment. I wonder if they make any SUVs – I’d need a roomy car for my two 50 & 70 lb dogs!
