Every Dog Has Its Sunday
Arizona D-backs Chase Field is pawsitively dog friendly. April 24th was the 2nd Dog Days of Summer at Chase Field. We took Sugar and met up with a long-time Golden lover and blog pal. What a great way to enjoy America’s pastime. It was a good game, and we stayed till the extra innings. Unfortunately, the Pirates pull out a win in the 13th inning.
PetSmart Patio
The PetSmart Patio has its own separate entrance. It is located along the main concourse, behind the left-center field wall.
There are two grassy PetSmart Parks: indoor and outdoor. Pawfect to meet other dogs, play ball and go “potty.”
The PetSmart Patio features a multi-tiered seating. Each group of four humans and a dog are assigned a gated section with a table and seats. As part of the Dog Days of Summer ticket package, Sugar received a Kong Bed, food from Only Natural Pet, and a Nylabone chews from PetSmart.

As a TREAT to all dogs, a self-serve doggy ice cream with special Nylabone toppings like Filet Mignon, Turkey Sweet Potato, Chicken Flavor, Bacon Flavor and Roast Beef. Many dogs enjoyed it, tasty!
Adopt A Dog
Dog adoption is available during the Dog Days of Summer. HALO Animal Rescue brought some of their adoptable dogs. It was a pawsome adoption day, 7 out of 8 dogs were adopted.
Dog Days of Summer – 13 D-backs Sunday home games
D-backs Dog Days of Summer ticket packages are available for $160 which includes a gated space with all the essentials for four people and one dog. Each space comes with a table, four chairs and access to all-you-can-eat hot dogs, soda, water, popcorn, peanuts, and chips. It’s a great deal!
All the dogs had a pawtastic time! Great way to spend Sunday – watch baseball, spend time with your family/friends and your dog. Woofs D-backs and PetSmart for making a pawsitively dog friendly Chase Field.
That’s amazing!!
There are 2.7 million dogs in Belgium and The Netherlands alone and every year 12.000 are left behind in shelters.
I don’t understand, why would you buy a dog if you’re not willing to commit 🙁 ?
Love x
What a wonderful area for the dogs! I so hope that the 8th dog gets adopted the next time!! Very glad that seven of them got to go home with new families!
Oh what a wonderful place! I love that tailgate, it’s great to have an own entrance, bet all doggies feel like celebrities :o)
That looks amazing! I am so jealous.
My beloved Baltimore Orioles have NO pet friendly days. But the Washington Nationals host one a month. they also have a marina so I’m thinking we’ll have to plan to sail up the Potomac in time for a game.
Wow that’s AWESOME. You’re so lucky to live in such a dog-friendly city. Very reasonable package price for the summer too.
no one should buy until every shelter dog is adopted.
You’re the second person we knew who got to go – so much fun!
Oh SUGAR, it was great to meet you and thank you for the photo op. You are one smart pup, wearing boots to protect your paws from the hot pavement.
Top-notch post Sugar.
What a great day and fun photos.
Looks like you had a great time Sugar! It’s pawesome they have that space for dogs!
