More and more families are choosing to bring their pets on their vacation.
Are you planning to travel with your pets this Summer?
Here are four tips to make your pet travel smooth.

5 Pet Travel Tips #BeSleepypodSafe
1. Before you travel, schedule a VET VISIT to make sure your pet is in good health.
When we go on a long trip, SUGAR always goes to the vet for a check-up. She is a senior dog, and it is important to know if there’s a health risk traveling with her.
2. Plan your ROUTE, Travel Time and Stops.
Our favorite road trip ‘pit stop’ is Cracker Barrel. It’s not dog-friendly but all Craker Barrel facilities always have grassy areas and spacious patio.
3. Ensure your pet’s SAFETY. Use a carrier or crate, or harness to secure your pet in the car.“It’s important to keep your dog secured just like the rest of your passengers.” Center for Pet Safety
Sleepypod‘s Clickit Sport is keeping SUGAR safe in the car. Sleepypod Clickit Sport earned a five-star vehicle crash test rating from the Center for Pet Safety.
4. Have a Pet Travel CHECKLIST. Make sure to pack all of your pet’s daily care needs.
On our next pet travel post, I will share some of SUGAR’s essential items.
