Spot Farms are known for their mouth-watering dog treats. On a previous post, I shared ten reasons. Recently, Spot Farm launched a new line of human-grade dehydrated dog food.
“Human grade dehydrated food means better nutrition for your dog.”

This post is sponsored by Spot Farms. I am being compensated for helping spread the word about Spot Farms’s new dehydrated dog food, but Golden Woofs only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers.
SUGAR, after being on prescription food, has finally transitioned to a new diet. SUGAR is on a meat-based stew dog food, served with freeze dried or dehydrated raw food. For the past weeks, SUGAR has been enjoying grain free chicken recipe Spot Farms dehydrated dog food.
Spot Farms
Family owned, Spot Farms is known for sourcing their antibiotic-free proteins in the United States and utilizing small family farmers. This information is clearly stated on Spot Farms packaging.
Spot Farms Dehydrated Dog Food: Grain-free Chicken Recipe
The main ingredient is dried chicken, raised in North Carolina without antibiotics. The food is finely dehydrated (in powdered form) but you can still see some of the wholesome, human-grade ingredients, such as dried carrot and apples. Other ingredients include dried potatoes, red lentil, flax seed, dried spinach, dried blueberries and dried sweet potatoes.
Other recipes of Spot Farms dehydrated dog food include Grain Free Turkey, Grain Free Pork, Chicken and Whole Grain and Turkey and Whole Grain. It is available in 8lbs or 3.5lbs box. SUGAR received a 3.5lbs box which approximately equates to 14 cups of dry food. The food is packed in a durable resealable clear bag and can easily be stored back in the box.
3 Ways to Serve Spot Farms Dehydrated Dog Food
1. Feed As A Complete Meal – use the suggested servings indicated on the packaging box. After adding water, the dehydrated powdered form becomes a bit dense. Make sure to adjust the water accordingly to the quantity served.
“The dehydration process retains the beneficial nutrients that are found in raw good, but the process protects the food against spoiling, while maintaining its natural colors and great taste.”
Ryan Perdue, General Manager at Spot Farms
It is easy to prepare Spot Farms Dehydrated Dog Food.
a) SCOOP the recommended servings, indicated on the packaging.
b) Add warm WATER to the mixture.
c) Using a spoon, STIR until the consistency is smooth. Add more water if needed.
d) SERVE to your hungry dog!
2. Use as a Topper – Since SUGAR is on wet food, adding water was unnecessary. If you are mixing with a kibble-based diet, make sure to prepare accordingly.
3. Make Special TREATS – Since it is finely dehydrated, it was pawfect to use for Pumpkin Balls. Instead of water, I used pumpkin puree. I formed balls with the mixture and stored in the freezer. A pawfect cool treat after our walks.
SUGAR Woofs for Spot Farms Dehydrated Dog Food
The preparation takes a bit of time. If you have an impatient dog (like SUGAR), you will hear Lots of Woofs, Woofs! SUGAR did a pawsome job clearing her bowl. SUGAR licked her bowl several times, an indication of a tasty satisfying meal.
PAWSsome for Spot Farm’s commitment to making dogs nutrition better. The new line of dehydrated dog food is an excellent addition to their mouth-watering dog treats. Woofs to Spot Farms’s terrific pledge to support local small family farmers!

my 3 gals love dehydrated foods. they are easy to make, just ad warm water. the only problem i have had is with more than 1 dog when i make a several servings, is how to measure how much for each dog after it is hydrated. i usually make for several days and put in the fridge. my girls deserve it because they deserve the best.
My dogs are the best little girls but deserve better than what we are feeding them right now. I would love to try the dehydrated food and see how they like it.
Schooner & Skipper deserves to try Spot Farm dehydrated dog food because they have a love for food that is grain free. Plus they are so sweet and lovable. They have never tried Spot Farm dehydrated dog food. Both dogs have an allergy to grains.
I know a lot of people that feed raw and love it. I can’t and won’t for a number of reasons. But pre-prepared intrigues me, and I’d love to give it a try.
We would love to try this, especially as a topper on top of kibble.

My dog won’t eat just plain kibble so I add dehydrated food and warm water to it and make a stew for him and then he chows it down. He loves Spot Farms and I love that it is healthy for him
My pups would love to try this! I spend a lot of money giving them high quality food and treat and this would be no exception! 🙂 I would love to come up with creative ways to give it to them as well!
I love you be able to treat my dogs. I like to use dehydrate food at a topper to make meals extra special. Due to allergies my dogs have to eat a special diet and towers cat help make it fun and yummy for them.
I think you meant food not bed (Spot Farm’s new dehydrated dog bed). I would like to see a dehydrated bed. My dogs would love that because their favorite things are sleeping and eating.
My dog deserves it because she is an amazing dog. When I am sad or upset she knows and comes to comfort me but sitting in my lap (or on my face when she is worried) and licking me 🙂
Love that idea of making pumpkin balls with it! Very clever. 😉
My three rescued Treeing Walker Coonhounds had rough starts in life. I do what I can to keep them happy and healthy, and good food like this would be perfect for them.
