1-800-PetMeds Cares 2016 National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week Contest

November 6-12, 2016 is National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week. The Humane Society of the United States founded National Animal Shelter and Rescue Appreciation Week to encourage pet lovers to become better acquainted with their local shelters or rescue groups and to learn how they can help in the lifesaving work.

In celebration of National Animal Shelter and Rescue Appreciation Week, for the third year 1-800- PetMeds^® is hosting a contest for animal rescues and shelters. One shelter or rescue organization will receive a $1,000 grant to aid in their lifesaving efforts!

JOIN 1-800-PetMeds Cares 2016 National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week Contest

1. Enter your shelter or rescue into the 1-800-PetMeds^® National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week Contest. The contest is open to U.S. animal rescues and shelters groups and has not won a 1-800-PetMeds Cares™ contest within the last year.

2. Share “What makes your rescue/shelter group unique? How do you help animals in your community?” Also, upload a photo to compliment the written entry.

The submission period will run through November 1, 2016, at 12 a.m. ET to November 9, 2016, at 11:59 p.m. ET. The entry must be completed by a group representative, and there is a limit of one entry per group.

3. VOTE
Voting period starts on November 10, 2016, at 12 a.m. ET. Participants can vote once a day, and voting will close at 11:59 p.m. ET on November 20, 2016.

4. Winners will be announced on November 22, 2016.

Prizes
Winners will be chosen based on the number of votes.
First place: a $1,000 grant from 1-800-PetMeds to aid in the group’s life-saving work
Second place: $500 worth of 1-800-PetMeds’ Flea5X Plus flea preventative
Third place: $250 worth of 1-800-PetMeds’ Flea5X Plus flea preventative
