Last March 4th, Petco Foundation launched its national “Love Changes Everything” campaign. The campaign’s aim is to raise more than $3.1 million to support lifesaving animal welfare organizations across the nation.
Love Changes Everything Campaign
To celebrate the campaign, several Petco and Unleashed by Petco stores hosted “Love Changes Everything” adoption events last March 4 and March 5. In New York Union Square Petco, many met award-winning artist and creator of the heart-warming MUTTS comic strip Patrick McDonnell.
“Patrick McDonnell is a true lifesaving champion, spending his time promoting pet adoption nationwide in addition to supporting local organizations like New York City Animal Care and Control in their mission to save lives. Patrick’s artwork designed specifically for our ‘Love Changes Everything’ campaign perfectly captures that emotional moment when you adopt a shelter animal. This is our second year partnering with MUTTS to promote pet adoption across the country.”
– Susanne Kogut, Executive Director of the Petco Foundation
“Nothing makes me happier than when people are inspired to adopt after reading MUTTS. I knew that Petco held adoption events in their stores, but I had no idea that they are so connected with all the wonderful companion animal groups – and that the Petco Foundation does so much for them. Their work is truly impressive.”
